Long before 2020, Donald Trump was already speaking about becoming a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians. The Guardian later published photographer William Coupon's account of a 1983 Manhattan Inc. photo shoot. The photograph shows Trump holding a white dove. Coupon explained that the accompanying article discussed Trump's desire to become a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians, so they chose the dove to symbolize peace.
That historical detail becomes particularly interesting when compared with what happened decades later.
On January 28, 2020, Trump presented his Peace to Prosperity plan, proposing a two-state arrangement involving Israel and a future Palestinian state. Then, as 2020 unfolded, COVID-19 spread throughout the world, and on March 11 the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic.

Beware of MAGA conservative false prophets, false teachers, and pastors who told Christians to fight on January 6 and who tell them that Donald Trump is an “anointed one” or “chosen one” sent to save America. I believe this reflects a falling away from faith in Jesus Christ and His Gospel, an apostasy.
Jesus warned about false Christs and false prophets who would deceive people through signs and wonders: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders” (Matthew 24:24 KJV).
In my interpretation, when political leaders are presented with messianic language and religious figures claim signs, wonders, or prophecies to persuade Christians to follow them, believers should take Jesus’ warning seriously. Test every spirit and every teaching by Scripture (1 John 4:1). Do not put your faith in an earthly political leader. Jesus Christ is the true Christ, and Jesus alone saves.

The Message: My dear church family, I know that walking through today's cultural and political landscape can feel incredibly exhausting. The world throws so much noise at us, and if we are honest, our hearts get heavy with anxiety about the future. In the midst of that fear, it is easy to see why so many get swept up by loud voices influencers and teachers who promise that an earthly leader or a political movement like MAGA will protect us and save our culture. But I want to gently remind you today: Beware of false prophets and teachers who try to point your heart toward Donald Trump as an earthly king savior, rather than our true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.They do this because they are playing on your fears. But fear is not the language of the Kingdom of God. When we look to any politician to be the savior of our families or our nation, we carry a burden we were never meant to bear. Politicians fail us. Earthly kingdoms rise and fall.
If you are feeling anxious about the state of the world, you don't need a stronger political leader; you need the Prince of Peace. Jesus looked at a worried crowd and said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." The Church does not depend on an election outcome to survive. Your soul is completely secure in the hands of the One who conquered the grave. Let’s lay down the heavy armor of political warfare, step away from the divisive noise of media influencers, and rest in the quiet, unchanging love of our true Savior, Jesus Christ.
