SERMON: HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE - THE BOASTFUL LITTLE HORN 1 Corinthians 3:5-7, 21-23 | John 3:30 | Daniel 7:8 | Proverbs 27:2 (KJV) Brothers and sisters, consider the humility of the Apostle Paul and John the Baptist. Neither taught people to glorify them as saviors. They directed attention to Jesus Christ. Donald Trump reportedly declared in his October 9, 2026, Truth Social post, "I saved more lives than anyone in History." Compare that statement with the words of the Apostle Paul. 1 Corinthians 3:5-7 (KJV): "Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase." Paul did not claim that he was responsible for saving more souls than anyone else. He acknowledged that God gave the increase!
