Beware of MAGA conservative false prophets, false teachers, and pastors who told Christians to fight on January 6 and who tell them that Donald Trump is an “anointed one” or “chosen one” sent to save America. I believe this reflects a falling away from faith in Jesus Christ and His Gospel, an apostasy.
Jesus warned about false Christs and false prophets who would deceive people through signs and wonders: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders” (Matthew 24:24 KJV).
In my interpretation, when political leaders are presented with messianic language and religious figures claim signs, wonders, or prophecies to persuade Christians to follow them, believers should take Jesus’ warning seriously. Test every spirit and every teaching by Scripture (1 John 4:1). Do not put your faith in an earthly political leader. Jesus Christ is the true Christ, and Jesus alone saves.

January 6: When Political Power Becomes a False Gospel
Scripture: Matthew 24:24; 2 Corinthians 11:13-14; Psalm 146:3; John 18:36
January 6, 2021 should serve as a serious warning to Christians about what can happen when political loyalty becomes more important than following Jesus Christ. That day, a mob breached the United States Capitol while Congress was meeting to certify the Electoral College vote. Violence followed, and the congressional proceeding was interrupted.
Christians should reject political violence regardless of who commits it. Jesus did not call His Church to conquer an earthly government for Him. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36 KJV). Yet some conservative Christian teachers and pastors have portrayed Donald Trump using religious language such as “anointed” or “chosen,” presenting political power as though it were part of God's plan to save America. Christians must test such claims against Scripture. America does not have a political savior. Republicans cannot save us. Democrats cannot save us. Presidents cannot save us. Jesus Christ alone saves.

Title: Rest for Your Souls in a Restless World
Scripture Focus: Psalm 46:1-2, John 14:27, Matthew 11:28
The Message: My dear church family, I know that walking through today's cultural and political landscape can feel incredibly exhausting. The world throws so much noise at us, and if we are honest, our hearts get heavy with anxiety about the future. In the midst of that fear, it is easy to see why so many get swept up by loud voices influencers and teachers who promise that an earthly leader or a political movement like MAGA will protect us and save our culture. But I want to gently remind you today: Beware of false prophets and teachers who try to point your heart toward Donald Trump as an earthly king savior, rather than our true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They do this because they are playing on your fears. But fear is not the language of the Kingdom of God. When we look to any politician to be the savior of our families or our nation, we carry a burden we were never meant to bear. Politicians fail us. Earthly kingdoms rise and fall.
If you are feeling anxious about the state of the world, you don't need a stronger political leader; you need the Prince of Peace. Jesus looked at a worried crowd and said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." The Church does not depend on an election outcome to survive. Your soul is completely secure in the hands of the One who conquered the grave. Let’s lay down the heavy armor of political warfare, step away from the divisive noise of media influencers, and rest in the quiet, unchanging love of our true Savior, Jesus Christ.

Title: No Other Gods: Shaking the Foundations of Political Idolatry
Scripture Focus: Matthew 24:24, Galatians 1:10, Exodus 20:3The Message:Church, it is time for a moment of sobering truth and radical clarity. We can no longer whisper about the rot that has entered the house of God. We must declare it from the rooftops: Beware of MAGA conservative false prophets, false teachers, and media influencers who are pointing people to Donald Trump as an earthly king savior rather than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is not a matter of political opinion; it is a matter of spiritual survival. We are witnessing a widespread deception where the holy name of Christ is being hijacked to build a temporary political empire. The Apostle Paul asked a stinging question in Galatians 1:10: "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?" Too many modern influencers have chosen the approval of a political base over the truth of the Gospel. They have constructed a golden calf out of nationalism and told the church to bow down. They tell you that a flawed human leader is the anointed protector of the faith. That is a lie from the pit of hell.Jesus Christ does not share His glory with any man, any political party, or any president. When we align the spotless Bride of Christ with the aggressive pursuit of worldly power, we commit spiritual adultery. Jesus warned us that false messiahs would appear to deceive even the elect. Wake up! Do not be taken captive by the hollow and deceptive philosophies of this world. Repent of political idolatry, smash the altars of partisan worship, and return your absolute, undivided loyalty to the King of kings and Lord of lords!

Title: The True King and the Counterfeit Kingdom
Scripture Focus: Psalm 146:3, Matthew 24:24, John 18:36
Introduction: A Crisis of Identity Brothers and sisters, we live in a world consumed by noise, anxiety, and the relentless pursuit of power. Everywhere we turn, voices are competing for our attention, our loyalty, and our devotion. In the modern American cultural landscape, a dangerous shift has taken place within the walls of the visible Church.Today, we must confront a sobering reality: Beware of MAGA conservative false prophets, false teachers, and media influencers who are pointing people to Donald Trump as an earthly king and savior, rather than to our true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As believers, our primary citizenship is not of this world. Yet, many have been enticed into a gospel of political nationalism, trading the eternal, cross-shaped Kingdom of God for a temporary, political empire.

Many so-called conservative Christians misuse Matthew 11:12 to justify hurting their enemies, taking power by force, or forcing their interpretation of Scripture onto others. That is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight” (John 18:36 KJV). We are called to love our enemies, preach the Gospel, and make disciples, not force an earthly political kingdom upon people.

THE SHADOW POINTS TO JESUS

Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus were Gentile kings whom God used for His purposes. They can be understood as shadows or types pointing beyond earthly kings to Jesus Christ, the true King of kings. The shadow points to Jesus, not Donald Trump or any other earthly man.

I believe conservative false prophets and false teachers are deceiving Christians when they portray Trump as a modern Cyrus or Nebuchadnezzar. In my interpretation of prophecy, I believe Trump instead fits the pattern of Daniel's boastful Little Horn and Paul's man of sin, which I understand as the Antichrist.

Do not put your hope in presidents, political movements, America, democracy, or a republic. Earthly kingdoms rise and fall, but Christ's Kingdom “shall never be destroyed” (Daniel 2:44 KJV).

Jesus Christ alone is King. Follow Him, not an earthly ruler.
