A WARNING FROM 2020: PEACE, PESTILENCE, AND A CALL TO REPENTANCE
Long before 2020, Donald Trump was already speaking about becoming a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians. The Guardian later published photographer William Coupon's account of a 1983 Manhattan Inc. photo shoot. The photograph shows Trump holding a white dove. Coupon explained that the accompanying article discussed Trump's desire to become a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians, so they chose the dove to symbolize peace.
That historical detail becomes particularly interesting when compared with what happened decades later.
On January 28, 2020, Trump presented his Peace to Prosperity plan, proposing a two-state arrangement involving Israel and a future Palestinian state. Then, as 2020 unfolded, COVID-19 spread throughout the world, and on March 11 the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic.

Bunkers Cannot Save You From the Lord
The Old Testament says:
Isaiah 2:19 KJV: “And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.”
And again:
Hosea 10:8 KJV: “Then they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.”
Revelation uses strikingly similar language:
Revelation 6:15-17 KJV: “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men... hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb...”
The biblical message is that wealth, power, technology, caves, and bunkers cannot ultimately provide refuge from God's judgment. Revelation specifically includes “the rich men” among those attempting to hide.
The answer Scripture gives is not a better bunker. It is reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:13 KJV

Do Not Trust in False Peace

I believe Trump is the Antichrist and the boastful little horn described in Daniel 7. Don’t put your spiritual trust in Trump’s peace plans. Put your trust in Jesus Christ alone.

Trump’s association with the image of a peacemaker goes back decades. In 1983, photographer William Coupon photographed Trump holding a white dove for Manhattan Inc. Coupon said Trump had expressed a desire to be a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians, so the dove was chosen to symbolize peace. The Guardian

Scripture warns, “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them” (1 Thessalonians 5:3, KJV). This does not mean every peace agreement fulfills that prophecy, but Christians should never mistake political diplomacy for the peace and salvation found in Christ.

“Put not your trust in princes” (Psalm 146:3, KJV). Test the spirits. Read the Scriptures. Do not make any politician your savior. Only Jesus saves. Jesus Christ alone is Lord and the true Prince of Peace.

Woe Unto You Who Desire the Day of the Lord

A September 1, 2026 article from The New Republic is titled “JD Vance Says He’s OK With Bringing About the End Times.” The article reports that during his interview with Christian evangelist Bryce Crawford, Vice President JD Vance said he does not know whether we are living in the end times, that he would not be shocked if the Antichrist were already walking among us, and later said that he is trying to do what he believes is God’s work and “if that leads to the end times, OK.”

But Scripture gives a sobering warning about desiring the Day of the Lord. “Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light” (Amos 5:18 KJV). The Day of the Lord is not something to casually celebrate, wish for, or speak about bringing about. It is a day of divine judgment.
