DON'T PUT YOUR TRUST IN POWERFUL MEN

DON'T PUT YOUR TRUST IN POWERFUL MEN
Don't put your trust in Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, or any other powerful man. Peter Thiel recently made remarks about evil, goodness, and competence, including saying that someone who is evil may be “kind of good” because they are at least getting something done. In context, he also made clear that he believes it is better to be good than evil.

Christians should measure good and evil by God's Word, not by wealth, technological power, political influence, or someone's ability to “get something done.”

2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV): “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

Psalm 146:3 (KJV): “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”

Put your trust in Jesus Christ, not powerful men. Test everything by Scripture and do not mistake earthly power, success, or competence for righteousness.

God Did Not Give Us Trump as Our Shepherd
Texts: John 10:11; Hebrews 13:5; Daniel 7:8; Matthew 24:4-5; Psalm 146:3
Before the Republican midterm convention, Donald Trump resurfaced the “God Made Trump” video. The video portrays Trump as a God-given caretaker and calls him a “shepherd to mankind” who will “never leave nor forsake” people. Christians should recognize how serious that language is. Jesus said: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11, KJV Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. Trump is not.

Scripture also says: “For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5, KJV That promise belongs to God. Christians should not transfer language belonging to God and Christ onto a political leader.

This is especially concerning to me because I personally believe Donald Trump fits the biblical picture of the Antichrist and the boastful little horn. Daniel saw a ruler with “a mouth speaking great things.” Daniel 7:8, KJV

You may vote. You may participate in politics. You may disagree strongly about government. But do not give Caesar what belongs to Christ. Do not pledge your conscience to a politician. Do not put your trust in princes. Do not follow a political leader into dishonesty because you believe the other side is dishonest. Do not allow political loyalty to replace loyalty to Jesus Christ. Follow Jesus.

Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. That is the Gospel. - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

Presidents come and go. Political parties rise and fall. Earthly kingdoms pass away. The boastful rulers of this world will not reign forever. But Jesus Christ is Lord.

So test AI. Test political memes. Test conspiracy theories. Test preachers. Test politicians. Test influencers. Test what you read online. Test what I say.

Love the truth. Reject deception. Do not worship human power. Do not let technology replace discernment. Do not let any politician take the place that belongs to Jesus Christ.

AI is a tool. Jesus Christ is Lord. Scripture is the standard.

That is why Psalm 146:3 remains so important:

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” - Psalm 146:3, KJV

Christians should test AI. Test political memes. Test conspiracy theories. Test preachers. Test politicians. Test what you read online. And test what I say.

Do not let an impressive image replace truth. Do not let political loyalty replace discernment. Do not let a human leader take the place that belongs to Christ.

Love the truth. Reject deception. Read your Bible. Test the spirits. Jesus Christ alone is Lord.

Trump says he uses AI but does not want to tell people what he uses it for. His social-media accounts have repeatedly shared AI-generated material, including false or misleading narratives and images portraying him as a pope, a crowned ruler, a superhero, and other larger-than-life figures. PolitiFact found that 21 of 36 AI posts it reviewed from Trump’s Truth Social account promoted or sensationalized Trump or his administration. AP has likewise reported on his frequent use of AI imagery to portray himself in powerful or mythical roles. It is not always clear whether Trump personally created the images, but he has shared them through his accounts. PolitiFact

To me, that kind of self-exalting imagery brings to mind Daniel’s warning about the boastful little horn - one with “a mouth speaking great things” (Daniel 7:8, KJV). That is my interpretation of Scripture, and Christians should test it for themselves against the Word of God.

I use AI for a different purpose. I struggle with spelling and grammar, so I use it to help me put my thoughts into words, correct my writing, and point people back to Jesus Christ and Scripture - not to Trump, not to myself, and not to any man.

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” - Psalm 146:3, KJV

AI is a tool. Jesus Christ is Lord. Scripture is the standard. Test everything.

I believe Trump is the Antichrist described in Scripture. He lies and deceives.

Daniel 7:8, 25 warns of a boastful figure who speaks “great things.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, 9-11 warns about the man of sin, deception, and those who “believe a lie.” 1 John 2:18 warns that Antichrist shall come.

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish...” - 2 Thessalonians 2:10 KJV

These verses do not name Donald Trump. Identifying him with these prophetic figures is a particular interpretation of biblical prophecy.

THE BOASTFUL LITTLE HORN

I believe Donald Trump is the Antichrist described in biblical prophecy - the boastful Little Horn and the man of sin. Daniel 7:8 describes a ruler with “a mouth speaking great things,” while 2 Thessalonians 2:4 warns of one who “exalteth himself.” Daniel 11:38 says he will “honour the God of forces,” a picture I believe points to the glorification of military power, strength, and wealth.

I see troubling parallels when Trump glorifies his own name, American greatness, wealth, and military might. Christians should test these things against Scripture rather than placing their trust in political power.

“Put not your trust in princes.” - Psalm 146:3 KJV

Our hope is not Trump, America, wealth, or military power. Our hope is Jesus Christ alone.

The Bible describes the Antichrist as a destroyer, and Scripture warns about a boastful ruler who exalts himself against God. I believe Donald Trump fits that description, and I believe he is the Antichrist the destroyer described in biblical prophecy. But our focus should remain on Jesus Christ, because only Jesus will ultimately defeat the Antichrist.
