Road is still closed but The Innocent Path is not restricted. The crossing itself is out of action, but with the road closed there's no need for it and you can cross a few metres east. #EdTravCyc

An insight into cycling trends - the introduction of Voi bikes has added about 500 additional cyclists per day to Leith Walk; the tram closure added another 250 at the peak. The Voi effect is much larger at the weekend, while the inverse is true for the tram.

The lights on Redford Road near the Dreghorn Link give safe access to the Dreghorn houses but are difficult for bicycles due to steps. Could the steep step be smoothed out for bicycle access?

In the same area could the Dreghorn Link be provided with a secure cycle lane, there is plenty of room as one lane is hardly ever used.

The footbridge over the Dreghorn Link has been closed for a long time, could this be opened to allow safe access avoiding Redford Road from Bonaly and Colinton in general.

Seen a report (Reddit) of a burst water main on Duddingston Park South which looks like it's taken the Innocent Path crossing out of action. #EdTravCyc

- better for drivers, more dangerous for cyclists?

Please send comments to Cllr @rosssmckenzie.bsky.social - see above thread

We have already received several - will forward to RM

It was done with a good intention to help the children cross to / from the school. However couldn’t they have just extend the green man phase and response time so pupils don’t need to wait long and gather in the first place.

I was amazed yesterday evening to see the queue westbound going all the way back to Princes St via two whole blocks. The council is clearly incompetent given how long Princes St has now been closed. Surely there is a simple solution for bus users?

Reserving a dock space like you can reserve a bike for 10mins free before a hire should be possible to avoid parking issues and having to find alternatives at short notice. Voi need to sort that functionality.

Out of interest is Johnston Ter council or HES controlled? Seems to be a VOI no go zone during the festival whereas Castlehill and Cowgate seem to have closures and go slows that are timed to CEC road closures for the festival. Seems odd that cyclists can’t use Johnston Ter when no events?

So @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social said we can’t have underground bins in the City Centre so put in bin hubs… yet out Granton the same council have put in underground bins… make it make sense?!

Noticed an increase in pavement parking lately and wondering if it’s all the visitors from elsewhere in the UK who habitually don’t give šŸ’© about pavement parking. My driver mind boggles as to how anyone would think parking like that on a road that wide was sensible!

New(ish) bidirectional cycleway being altered already for new housing access to housing near Granton Gasholder. Disappointing ā€œdismountā€ signage being used rather than ā€œdo not overtake cyclesā€ on carriageway?
Otherwise planting along route looking great 🌾🪻🌿
