Absolutely, and I definitely don’t want to minimise that; just some feedback that gave me pause about using broad and gendered terms that can affect lots of people, women disproportionately, but also that broad strokes can be disenfranchising and frustrating.
…repetition of the talking points. Some women and girls are active users of path network (and dangerous roads) quite happily but in many cases are referred to by broad-brush ‘women and girls’ in a way that can feel dismissive or pigeonholes by gender. Just prompting some thinking - not criticism

I am reminded of feedback from an edi.bike reader that we need to be careful in our choice of language not to gender safety concerns.
The person in question did not identify with the safety perception of our off-road path network and held me accountable for some…
At one point on one of the pics below there are 14 lanes of road. 14. Yes… 14. And still it’s gridlocked. When your politicians argue that one more lane will fix the traffic. They are lying. And they need to not be leading us. Because we need leadership that takes space away from cars and drivers.

Assuming the H there is ‘heck’ 😂
Think I agree with this until we get to 'mass transit', and then I sort of fall in line with it. Damn these influential urbanists! It was a war on British English, not cars, all along!
He gets the idea after the third time you’ve done it, mind 😂
Where does my trolling of anti-cycling motorists on Facebook reside on this alignment I wonder …uh-oh
