Its warnings about DDT helped spark the modern environmental movement.
And fittingly, Carson was born in Springdale, Pennsylvania and died in Silver Spring, Maryland!

Glyphosate went on sale in 1974. By 1996 weeds demonstrated resistance. By 2011 at least 19 weeds were #glyphosateresistant.
