Scientists like Zeke Hausfather have known that growth is growing and yet... Again, growth is growing for CO2 and climate forcing (W/m2). Where do we go from here?
Would it help if we grew the human population and eating meat in the meantime too?

2022 was the last time I discussed symptoms like extreme weather events. How much “documenting the obvious” do we need?
Like the guy at the party who has to explain to people what is happening at the party instead of partying..
Show me babies, meat or cars and I show you extreme weather and #NTHE
I live right next to the Danube. Back in 2022, the low levels “motivated” me to help co-launch a civil disobedience movement. The Last Movement.
It ended in 2024 for obvious reasons:
“Gesellschaft und Regierung wollten keinen Klimaschutz.”
Today, we can still do acceptance activism.
Growing bacteria in a petri dish with agar may not be an ideal metaphor for human overpopulation & #overshoot.
Bacteria follow a growth cycle governed by the physical space and resources available. Bacteria will stop growing to AVOID #extinction, they don't plan to grow infinitely.

We don't mean well and are not well.
Reality and nature are the only real teachers, claimed the Cynics of ancient times. Nature communicates consistently and patiently with us. But humans are a tad advice resistant unless it’s from a random influencer?
Some timeless [the new meaning] classics.

“Population growth and rising incomes [eating animals] remain the strongest drivers of increases in CO2 emissions."
- IPCC
We have destroyed most life support systems and wildlife on Earth for:
- Overpopulation
- Eating enslaved, inbred and tortured animals
- Burning living plants for energy (67% of forestry)
Humans have destroyed the baseline a long time ago. Back in 1860 when there were 1.2 bn humans, wildlife on land was already half of what it used to be. Back in 1860, we were overpopulated and in overshoot. Today we add 0.1 billion new humans every 1.5 years and increase meat per person.

"The world’s largest penguin colony has declined by two-thirds since 2011."
2/3s gone in 15 years. Islands are bit like spheres.
Also, if you really and truly love the ocean (and nature), you do need a car. Naturally. 🫶
