Likely the largest loss of life on the #IrishSea came on #ThisDayInHistory in 1918 with the sinking of City of Dublin Steam Packet Company vessel #RMSLeinster. The German submarine #UB123 torpedoed the crowded ship, which sank in less than 15 minutes, killing at least 564 people.
