A relaxed rainy run, on the margins of storm Isaias.I wore my gilet initially but despite the rain it was too warm to wear 🥵. Best music was ‘Going Under’ - Evanescence and ‘I am the highway’ - Audioslave

Must remember to trim my old man eyebrows before my next run. They pose a hazard, obscuring my vision, wicking salty sweat into my eyes, and, when they grow long enough, tripping me up. Or maybe I could just tie them behind my head with a hair clip. #Run #RunSky #RunnersOfBlueSky #MarathonTraining

Heavy rain when I set off this morning, I did have second thoughts, but it cleared up quickly and my gilet had to be discarded. Enjoyed the reflections, smells and sounds of a rainy run.

Went out for a #run this morning, intending to take things at an easy conversational pace. As is typical, I have no self-discipline and went out like a little kid. Whee! Look at me! I’m #running like an idiot! So much for training plans. #RunSky #RunnersOfBlueSky #MarathonTraining

Nice early run. Planned a shorter 6 miles but it ended closer to 7 anyway. Enjoying this early running, few cars, and just a few folks/runners about. Running is my happy place where I can control the agenda.

Love these morning runs, better than the treadmill runs at the start of this holiday. I like the mix of greenway trails & urban running. Only downside is the inordinate time waiting at road crossings😠.

Big day today ! I started running a few years ago and went through a whole variety of shoes until I finally found some that felt just right. Today, this pair hit 1000 km. Well done, little EVOs – and thank you for helping make every run such a joy 🥳 #running #runnersofbluesky #adidas #adizeroevosl

Starry skies for an early run. A bit of exploration this morning, connecting up more of the greenway paths. Trail running in new areas, even urban trails, really enhances any holiday.

An early start. Head torch run and 17°. Faster pace after a w/e off and blessed by the Garmin gods with a ‘maintaining’.

1st step - identify the target Parkrun.

So, #runnersofbluesky whats the best parkrun course to have a crack at this?

2nd is the training but that comes later 🤪

Early run in Charlotte, wonderful clear skies with Jupiter & the moon visible. Warm out, and a hilly route, made me a sweaty blob at the end. Knee still not perfect, likes the uphills not downhills. Good fun

I’d like to construct an experiment to determine if runners wearing supershoes run slower if they believe they’re wearing ordinary trainers. #running #Run #RunSky #RunnersOfBlueSky #MarathonTraining #Shoes

It seems that I have a strong #runnershigh response 🥳 Thank you #kagiassistant for explaining :

"The peak euphoria is transient, but a milder anxiolytic, hedonically enhanced state persists well beyond the plasma half-life of any single transmitter"

🤷‍♂️

Slight tweak to my route in Charlotte to link up two greenways, hence the slightly longer run. Taking it easy with Podrunner at 182bpm. Enjoying the city lights and starlit skies .

Easy paced, early run in Charlotte. Greenway then downtown. Lots of stops a busy crossings, pedestrians not a priority here. Loving the warm mornings.

Early headtorch along the greenway to uptown Charlotte - much better than the treadmill 👍

Early miles on the treadmill before I helped daughter & grandchildren off to school . The treadmill surely can’t be calibrated, so much effort for so little pace! Podrunner at 181 bpm helped push me along.

New PB on a 5 and 10k. It was a good morning
