Had a nice sloppy run. On schedule was 5km recovery run at 6:10 but felt too good. I ran a short easy run instead and enjoyed the autumnal atmosphere a lot.

I did Storm the Day today. Ran sunrise to sundown. 2.5 mile loop. Got 34 miles, hoped for more, but heat ramped up to summertime temps.
Happy to have completed 2 ultras this tumultuous year.

Probably the hardest #trailrunning course in Finland is the 65km course in Koli where the Marathon of Dangers takes place. Finished it a week ago, third last of all the men. Still pretty happy about myself. Perhaps the hardest thing I've ever done.

DIY bamboo poles - Running Poles Shouldn't Cost the Earth

There is a resource being built and put together right now, with a video that will be on Youtube on how to make the running poles yourself and launching in a couple of months after some more testing.

Traditional saturday morning long run with one good friend. The other one has a race tomorrow. First run this season that started in darkness and rain. But we enjoyed the run a lot.
