Political violence should never be celebrated, and Christians should condemn his killing without turning him into a Christian martyr. Biblically, martyrdom is not simply dying violently while being a Christian or political activist. Martyrs suffer because of their testimony concerning Jesus Christ. Stephen was killed while proclaiming Christ. Revelation speaks of believers who overcame “by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” - Revelation 12:11, KJV. The center of Christian martyrdom is Jesus. If someone dies while associated with a political movement, that does not automatically mean they died for the Gospel.

But Daniel 11:23 describes a ruler who becomes strong despite beginning with relatively few supporters: “And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.” - Daniel 11:23, KJV Historically, this passage is commonly connected with Antiochus IV Epiphanes. However, some Christians also understand Antiochus as foreshadowing a future Antichrist. I personally believe Donald Trump is the Antichrist, and this verse is one reason Daniel 11 gets my attention. The prophecy does not say that this ruler must always have enormous crowds. It describes someone who can become powerful through alliances, strategy, and deception even while working with a comparatively small group. That said, “a small people” should not automatically be equated with the size of a modern political rally. The stronger connection would be the ruler gaining political strength despite initially limited backing. Jesus warned us not to be deceived. Political popularity, huge crowds, or small crowds do not determine whether someone is righteous. Now some leaders within that same industry are warning that AI may be advancing faster than its safety protections. Meanwhile, Trump has resisted calls for stronger AI guardrails and has emphasized rapid American AI development. At the same time, Trump’s social-media account has repeatedly shared AI-generated political material, including self-promotional images and videos and content built around false or misleading narratives. PolitiFact documented AI portrayals of Trump as a king, pope, Superman, and other larger-than-life figures, while AP recently reported on his continued use of AI memes portraying himself as a superhero and military leader.

Trump says he uses AI but does not want to tell people what he uses it for. His social-media accounts have repeatedly shared AI-generated material, including false or misleading narratives and images portraying him as a pope, a crowned ruler, a superhero, and other larger-than-life figures. PolitiFact found that 21 of 36 AI posts it reviewed from Trump’s Truth Social account promoted or sensationalized Trump or his administration. AP has likewise reported on his frequent use of AI imagery to portray himself in powerful or mythical roles. It is not always clear whether Trump personally created the images, but he has shared them through his accounts.
