Only Trump? No - Only Jesus Saves
“Only Trump” may be political branding, but Christians should remember where our ultimate hope belongs. No president, prince, nation, technology, or political movement can save humanity.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” - John 14:6, KJV.

Scripture also warns, “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” - Psalm 146:3, KJV.

Christians can evaluate political leaders however they choose, but salvation belongs to Christ alone. Not “Only Trump.” Only Jesus saves. Only Christ saves.

Love Your Enemies
If Jewish people call you a “goy” or “goyim,” love them. If a Muslim hates you because of your faith, love them. If conservative Christian brothers and sisters treat you like an enemy, love them too.

Jesus did not tell His followers to love only the people who agree with them. He did not say to love only those who belong to the same religion, political movement, culture, or community. Jesus commanded us to love even our enemies. “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” - Matthew 5:44, KJV

That is difficult, but it is the way of Christ.

When someone insults you, do not answer hatred with hatred. When someone rejects your faith, do not become cruel toward them. When another Christian attacks you over politics or doctrine, do not allow bitterness to control your heart.

God Alone Is Supreme Intelligence
Today President Trump stood before the United Nations and announced a new way he wants the United States to speak about artificial intelligence: “super intelligence.” He said, “welcome to the new world of superintelligence,” and then added, “Let’s see if I have any power. Maybe I do and maybe I don’t.”
Christians studying Bible prophecy may find language like this worth examining, but we must distinguish Scripture from interpretation.
Daniel 11:38 says, “But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour...” - KJV.
Revelation 13 also describes a future system involving extraordinary power, worship, authority, and economic control.

Do Not Be Deceived by the Roaring Lion
Christians, be careful with lion imagery. Trump has repeatedly shared material portraying himself with lions. In 2022, he shared a video comparing himself to a lion and “king of the jungle.” In 2025, he shared a MAGA image featuring a crowned lion, and in 2026 he shared an AI video that included him riding a lion.

But Christians should not automatically see a lion and think it represents Jesus.

Scripture uses lion imagery in different ways.

Jesus is called “the Lion of the tribe of Juda” in Revelation 5:5.

Proverbs 28:1 says, “the righteous are bold as a lion.”

But Scripture also warns: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8.

Not every roaring lion represents Christ.

Follow the Shepherd, Not the Lions
Pastors and Christian teachers, be careful when you tell Christians that they need to “be lions.”

Yes, Proverbs 28:1 says, “the righteous are bold as a lion.” Christians should have courage. We should not be ashamed of Jesus Christ, and we should stand firm in the truth. But Scripture says we are bold as a lion. It does not tell us to build our Christian identity around becoming lions, dominating people, roaring at our enemies, or proving how powerful we are.

Jesus describes His followers differently:

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” - John 10:27, KJV

Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and Christians are His sheep.

The Canaanite, the Merchants, and the Kingdom of God
Texts: Zechariah 14:21; Revelation 18:3, 11-15; Daniel 7:8; Psalm 146:3
The Palestinians living in Gaza are not identified by the Bible as the “Canaanite” of Zechariah 14:21. Zechariah says:

“And in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.” - Zechariah 14:21, KJV

The Hebrew word translated “Canaanite” can also carry the meaning of a merchant or trader. Lexical sources note that the Hebrew term can be used for a merchant or trafficker, and some translations therefore render Zechariah 14:21 with “merchant.”

That should make Christians careful about taking this ancient prophetic passage and automatically applying it ethnically to modern Palestinians living in Gaza. Zechariah 14:21 does not identify modern Palestinians as the Canaanites of this prophecy.

The Treacherous Dealers and False Peace
The world continues to praise the Abraham Accords as a path toward peace and partnership. Six years after they began, political leaders are still invoking Abraham’s name while speaking about a new future of regional peace.

But Christians should remember that Abraham is not merely a name for a modern diplomatic project. Scripture says that God Himself made His covenant with Abraham:

“And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant...” - Genesis 17:7, KJV

A modern political accord is not the biblical covenant God made with Abraham. Governments can negotiate diplomatic relations, trade, travel, and security, but they cannot create or replace God’s covenant.

The Treacherous Dealers and False Peace
“From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.” - Isaiah 24:16, KJV

I believe Donald Trump fits the warning of the treacherous dealing described in this passage. Trump has repeatedly boasted about his role in the Abraham Accords, describing them as “historic peace deals” that opened the way to a “future of peace and harmony.”

The Abraham Accords established or advanced diplomatic normalization between Israel and several Arab states. Their language speaks of peace, security, prosperity, and normalization.

Gains power with a small number of followers

Theological Significance
The verse also carries a broader spiritual lesson: God can use even a small group or seemingly weak individuals to accomplish significant outcomes, contrasting human reliance on numbers with divine purposes (similar to Gideon’s army in Judges 7). Additionally, some interpreters see this passage as foreshadowing the rise of an end-times figure, often linked to the Antichrist, who will similarly gain power through deception.

Summary
Daniel 11:23 portrays a ruler who:

Forms an alliance or treaty
Acts deceitfully after the agreement
Gains power with a small number of followers Historically, this is often linked to Antiochus IV Epiphanes, while theologically, it illustrates the dynamics of power, deception, and God’s use of the weak to fulfill His purposes

Gains power with a small number of followers

Daniel 11:23 describes a ruler who, after forming an alliance, acts deceitfully and rises to power with only a small group of followers.
Verse Text
Daniel 11:23 states: “After coming to an agreement with him, he will act deceitfully, and with only a few people he will rise to power” (NIV) or “And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people” (KJV). The verse emphasizes two key elements: the formation of an alliance and the ruler’s subsequent deceitful actions.

Meaning and Interpretation
The verse is part of a larger prophetic passage describing the rise and actions of various rulers. Daniel 11:23 specifically highlights a ruler who gains power through cunning and strategic alliances rather than sheer numbers. Despite having only a small following, he becomes strong, demonstrating that influence and power can come from strategy and deception rather than military might or large armies.
The deceit mentioned in the verse indicates that the ruler will not honor the alliance in good faith, using it instead to advance his own ambitions. This serves as a warning about the potential for betrayal in political or social agreements and the importance of discernment

Historical Context
Many biblical scholars associate this prophecy with Antiochus IV Epiphanes, a Seleucid king in the second century BC. He is known for his treacherous political maneuvers, including forming temporary alliances and then acting against those who trusted him. Antiochus IV is infamous for persecuting the Jewish people, defiling the temple in Jerusalem, and breaking treaties, which aligns with the deceit described in Daniel 11:23

Some of the most powerful people in the technology industry spent enormous amounts of money courting political power while AI expanded rapidly. Now some leaders within that same industry are warning that AI may be advancing faster than its safety protections. Meanwhile, Trump has resisted calls for stronger AI guardrails and has emphasized rapid American AI development.
At the same time, Trump’s social-media account has repeatedly shared AI-generated political material, including self-promotional images and videos and content built around false or misleading narratives. PolitiFact documented AI portrayals of Trump as a king, pope, Superman, and other larger-than-life figures, while AP recently reported on his continued use of AI memes portraying himself as a superhero and military leader.

Love the Truth in an Age of AI Deception
Texts: 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; Daniel 7:8; Psalm 146:3; 1 John 4:1
We are living in an age when artificial intelligence can create images, voices, videos, and stories that look convincing even when they are not real. That makes the biblical command to love truth and test everything especially important.

Donald Trump has acknowledged using AI, while declining to explain exactly how he personally uses it. His social-media accounts and the White House have also circulated numerous AI-generated images and videos. PolitiFact found that 21 of 36 AI posts it reviewed from Trump’s Truth Social account promoted or sensationalized Trump or his administration. Those posts have portrayed him as a king, Superman, the pope, and other extraordinarily powerful figures. More recently, AP documented AI memes portraying Trump as a superhero, military commander, and other larger-than-life characters.

Many so-called conservative Christians misuse Matthew 11:12 to justify hurting their enemies, taking power by force, or forcing their interpretation of Scripture onto others. That is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight” (John 18:36 KJV). We are called to love our enemies, preach the Gospel, and make disciples, not force an earthly political kingdom upon people.
