More Albertans need to know that this huge push to deregulate industries, O&G in particular, is about getting out of their legal responsibility to clean up their shit. That shit is poisoning entire regions, from the aquifers to the skies, and we all suffer for it.

With this challenge, they’re arguing that the AER’s chronic underfunding of the Orphan Fund Levy — meant to fund cleanup of oil and gas liabilities managed by the Orphan Well Association (OWA) — is against the law.
