Explore the timeless 3D Pixel Art maps and environments of Breath of Fire 3 (PS1) in the browser, with Day/Night/Autumn toggles, also characters sprites, in all directions and animations, side by side. Also: Virtual Joystick to explore levels on mobile, FF7 World Map mini-map.
It's already fully extracted including prerendered bgs and summons like I did with ff7!
Don't have to learn it. I have FF8 ready to be released someday :D
Doing some tinkering with a test level this weekend. I also wanted to try out @alfredbaudisch.com's Vertex Studio and even the free version has been a boon to my workflow. Haven't hit all the rooms with it quite yet, but the ones I have are given such a boost in atmosphere. #devtober
Syphon Filter (PS1) added to the library: characters, weapons and levels, animations. Explore the game levels in the browser. Select object tool (pick placed objects from levels), 3-point (N64) texture filter, save preview pictures, FF7 Typhon summon and Gran Turismo decal fixes.

I added everything from Gran Turismo (PS1) to the museum today, new UV tools, and the NPCs and scripted animations and events to the pre-rendered Final Fantasy VII scenario explorer. I also added the battle stage camera movements and the world map scripted events and animations.
Thunder Helix is ON SALE for one more day - and this new, and very serious, scenario mission is coming soon !!
I love that it appeared again on my timeline :D
Here's the correct looping GIF, showing Legacy of Kain-like vertex lighting effect in Godot with Vertex Studio runtime blending. Vertex Studio on itch: alfredbaudisch.itch.io/vertex-studio
Here's how to do it with Vertex Studio alfredbaudisch.github.io/godot-vertex...
And a video of it running in Godot in-game, like Legacy of Kain #godotengine #vertexcolor #gamedev
Insane oscillating vertex color usage in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (PS1) levels.
This is what inspired me to add the "Runtime vertex color variation blending" in my tool Godot Vertex Studio, it makes it super easy to make vertex lighting and effects like this.
MediEvil (PS1) added to the library: characters, bosses, props, levels, animations, fog. Quest 64 skies by time of day, waterfalls. GoldenEye 007 skies, cameras, fog, doors. FF7 world map w/ animated Midgar Zolom, Weapons, Highwind #retrogames #psx #finalfantasy #finalfantasyvii
Yes, I've been posting these almost daily and things are pretty visible, and the file stays small!
Thanks! I use my own screen-recorder and editor, with these FFMPEG export settings:
I was so sleepy when I wrote the post: "- 8-slice tiles in 3d" I meant "9-patch tiles" / 9-patch slices, you can see it in the video:
