This was the Positive Imaginings Climate Circus with SCOREscotland - a great way to connect with climate and nature.
Is Redhall Walled Garden home to Edinburgh South West's biggest homegrown pumpkin? It was a pleasure to visit SAMH's Redhall Walled Garden this week and meet Claire and the fantastic team behind this life-changing service.

Parliament returns tomorrow after recess, and I'll be straight back into the thick of it with a debate on whether the UK should rejoin the European Union. The debate has been triggered by a public petition that secured enough support to be considered by Parliament.
It's the Cargo Bike Festival today! Whether you already own a cargo bike, are curious to find out more, or you're a business considering how a cargo bike could help with deliveries and day-to-day operations, it's a great opportunity to come along, ask questions, and see what's possible.
Today was "Apple Day" at Balerno Farmers Market - lots of kids making apple juice from locally grown apples.
Macaroni Pie
Lunch today is a fusion of Scottish and Italian cuisine! 😋
This is a somewhat disappointing response to the letter I sent the First Minister several months ago regarding the need for clear planning guidance for data centres. I'm concerned that there is currently no indication that the Scottish Government intends to consult the public on this guidance.
It's fantastic to see Balerno's The Free Company named among Scotland's top 10 restaurants.
I had the pleasure of visiting a few weeks ago and meeting the people behind this remarkable venture.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the screening of the National Climate Emergency briefing (www.nebriefing.org) this evening in Edinburgh South West.
The film provided an honest and sobering assessment of the impacts that climate change is already having, and the consequences if we fail to act.

The Westminster Transport Select Committee, of which I am a member, is currently examining the safety of women and girls across the transport network, including walking and cycling routes. If you have views, please submit them to the enquiry: committees.parliament.uk/work/9900/sa...
It was great to visit Edinburgh Napier University today and meet some of the students benefiting from its partnership with Enterprise Mobility. We had an excellent discussion about the many ways they work together to help students develop the skills and experience they need to succeed.
Peatland restoration plays a key role in our response to the climate change and biodiversity emergencies, so it is good to see Project L-and Community Enterprise Ltd have submitted to restore land in Edinburgh South West.
