2:40pm.

Left Totnes 7 hours ago.

Drove an hour to E. Cornwall.

Walked 4000 steps -including around an 18th-century Rectory & an immersive Museum.

Explored a small village nearby.

All for less than a single #VisibleHealth Pace Point 😮

Kept heartrate low by sitting regularly on telescopic stool.

#Confused 🤔

7pm on Friday evening after another busy day of teaching.

FOURTEEN #VisibleHealth PacePoints behind my daily pacesetter and my heartrate rarely exceeded 100bpm all day 🤔

#LongCovid is tricksy...

Just 5.2 out to my daily 24 pace points used
@benking01.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 7:07 PM

Decided to attend our orchestra rehearsal. Parked just outside, so just a few additional steps. All very relaxing.

Back behind my #VisibleHealth pacesetter line 😎

Skipping this afternoon's Funk Band rehearsal 😔 & RESTING instead

30 minutes with my feet up in the staff room has started to 'flatten the curve' of my Pacing graph [ #VisibleHealth] 👇

Time to get myself home, for a proper restful evening.

Busiest workday tomorrow 🙏

#LongCovid #LongCovidTeacher

16.1 out of today's 24 pace points. Currently 1.8 ahead of my pacesetter.

So, by the time I was teaching my fourth lesson of the day, my heartrate was largely into my 'Exertion' zone - Orange bars on the #VisibleHealth heartrate graph below 👇

Finally resting with my feet up in the staff room 🙏

@benking01.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 11:40 AM

2.5 kilometres walked - spread across 1.5 hours.

Falling further behind my pacesetter, despite the walk.

Paced very nicely - HT #VisibleHealth

13:30 Saturday afternoon.

LOTS of welcome REST 🙏

A single #VisibleHealth PacePoint, despite a shopping trip and a fair bit of light housework this morning.

Ending my busy (5-lesson) teaching day EIGHT #VisibleHealth PacePoints behind today's Pacesetter.

Strangely the busiest teaching loads can often lead to lower exertion 🤔

Good times.

#LongCovid #Pacing to avoid overexertion and debilitating #PEM symptoms 🙏

Anyway, it's now my lunch break. And I've used fewer than three #VisibleHealth pace points all morning.

6 in-hand and well-behind today's Pacesetter 🙏

Two more 1-hour lessons this afternoon.

Approaching 4pm. Just a couple of #VisibleHealth PacePoints used so far, despite doing a fair amount of housework, cooking and some planning for work.

Still amazed that I've reached a routine of twice-weekly gym sessions. Long may this continue! I'm going in 🙏

Visible PacePoints graphics. 2.1 out of today's 24 pace points used. More than 11 behind today's pacesetter 🙏

It was very close (!) but I ended Monday within all of my known 'Budgets' - For movement [ #KiActiv ] and for PacePoints [ #VisibleHealth - Based on Heartrate across the day ] 🙏

KiActiv movement data graphed. 56 minutes of Moderate movement across Monday.Visible 23.9 out of 24 pace points used on Monday

My gym sessions are now twice-weekly 🙏

Flexibility, Strength & Cardio.

Fewer than three #VisibleHealth PacePoints used despite (carefully paced) weight training and two runs on the treadmill - one minute of which was sprinting 🙂

This Sunday morning #EliteHRV suggests that my body is READY for the day ahead (10 out of 10) & that my PNS & SNS activity are in Balance.

#VisibleHealth check-in notes Stable & Improving.

#KubiosHRV also gives a good Readiness score.

This is because I'm #Pacing my life well.

I'm still unwell.

@benking01.bsky.socialSep 27, 2026, 4:56 AM

I've had #LongCovid for 4 years now.

I soon learnt to Pace myself better, to avoid Crashes in my #PEM symptoms and worsening #Dysautonomia.

#VisibleHealth has revealed improvement over time.

Now #EliteHRV seems to be doing the same 🙏

@benking01.bsky.socialSep 25, 2026, 6:30 PM

But I kept my heartrate nice and low, so my #VisibleHealth PacePoints usage has been pretty low, considering the fact that I taught five groups of ~30 students at a time, Year 7s to Year 10s, including a Physics lesson with multiple experiments and practical demonstrations.

I love my teaching job.

Morning Check-in as usual with the #VisibleHealth app. It's Thursday, after a very busy work-day yesterday.

An incredibly rare 'Stable & Improving, 5 out of 5' for the THIRD time in the last week. Might this be due to changes in the app. or might this be actual improvement in my health? 🤞

Stable and Improving. 5. Morning resting HR low. Morning HRV high.
@benking01.bsky.socialSep 22, 2026, 1:03 PM

2pm. All I've managed so far today has centred around cooking enough food for around 7 or 8 meals; not bad, I suppose.

3.5 #VisibleHealth PacePoints used, so I'm more than 7 PP behind my daily pacesetter...

And I've used one-third of my daily 'Moderate' movement quota of 60 minutes - #KiActiv...

Pacepoints summary from Visible. 3.5 out of 22Movement data from KiActiv smartwatch graphed. Dark blue is Moderate movement.
@benking01.bsky.socialSep 21, 2026, 5:50 PM

So I've checked my #VisibleHealth pacepoints 👇

Only half (12) of today's allocation of pacepoints used so far 👍

But my #KiActiv movement data reveal what my wobbly legs were starting to tell me: I've just exceeded my nominal 60 daily minutes of 'Moderate' movement.

Will go Slow-Mo. this evening!

@benking01.bsky.socialSep 17, 2026, 3:20 PM

Notably #VisibleHealth also measured a higher-than-usual Heartrate Variability (HRV) this morning, so I must REST as much as possible this evening, to avoid overexertion and Post-Exertional Symptoms / #PEM 🙏

Visible Health morning check in. Looking Stable 4 out of 5, but HRV higher than my normal range

September 2026 Functional Capacity

Not getting better. But STABLE 🙏

HT #VisibleHealth

#LongCovid #Dysautonomia #PEM #Disability #FUNCAP27

Functional Capacity score of 5 out of 6. Various categories. I struggle with walking around much and being upright for too long.
