Learning to say no was one of the hardest things chronic illness taught me. But it was also one of the most freeing. Protecting your energy isn't selfish, it's survival.

Decided to attend our orchestra rehearsal. Parked just outside, so just a few additional steps. All very relaxing.
Back behind my #VisibleHealth pacesetter line 😎

ON PERCEIVED TIME
Does the current hour feel like it is dragging, or rushing past you?
Put the phone face down. Count to sixty without a clock, and see how your internal rhythm aligns.
Lovely couple of hours chewing the fat with a friend, then Flu vaccination and bus journey home.
Walked everywhere at snail's pace, so still have 10 minutes of 'Moderate' movement available if needed this evening.
Feels pretty amazing not to have relied on Driving to town 😊
And perfect #pacing!
Watching the World go by - Cross-legged in my folding camping chair.
It feels quite Autumnal down beside the River Dart. Slow stroll to town, via each and every bench; with my folding camping-chair with me for back-up 🙏
Three part-days of #fieldwork upcoming and I need to reassess my walking capacity.
#Pacing to avoid overexertion and debilitating #LongCovid #PEM
Just had *another* five hours of sleep 😮
#Sleeping is my #Superpower 🙏
Feeling much better for the Rest and, with approaching eight #visible_health PacePoints in hand, #Pacing should be very easy today 😊
It has been a long time since I walked to town 🤔

13:30 Saturday afternoon.
LOTS of welcome REST 🙏
A single #VisibleHealth PacePoint, despite a shopping trip and a fair bit of light housework this morning.
#LongCovid #Pacing to avoid debilitating #PostExertionalMalaise
...but a busy week of #teaching has left me exhausted (in a standard/ non-Long-Covid way).
Also looking after my unwell partner, so taking things slowly today 🙏
