@zadafalcon.bsky.socialI don't write sex scenes. The main reason is I write for a middle-grade audience, but even if I didn't I just find them awkward as heck to write! Like, I feel second (or maybe it's third?) hand embarrassment for the characters when I try.
So I don't do it. The children appear off-screen!

Though I have implied it to be the motivation for some of my villians, I refuse to actually depict sexual violence. 1) I’m not exactly comfortable depicting normal sex in my work (I just don’t think I’d write it well) but also 2) I think actually detailing those acts isn’t my place.
