THE ARCH, THE IDOL, AND THE WARNING

THE ARCH, THE IDOL, AND THE WARNING

Trump’s Arch should be a warning to Christians about pride, political idolatry, human glory, and the worship of earthly power. I believe it represents an idol and points prophetically toward the abomination of desolation. Christians should examine these things carefully through Scripture rather than placing their trust in political rulers or monuments built to glorify human power.

Daniel gives a sobering warning about a ruler who exalts power:

Daniel 11:38 (KJV): “But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.”

Other translations render “God of forces” as the “god of fortresses.” The picture is one of power, strength, wealth, and military might being exalted.

THE BOASTFUL LITTLE HORN

I believe Donald Trump is the Antichrist described in biblical prophecy - the boastful Little Horn and the man of sin. Daniel 7:8 describes a ruler with “a mouth speaking great things,” while 2 Thessalonians 2:4 warns of one who “exalteth himself.” Daniel 11:38 says he will “honour the God of forces,” a picture I believe points to the glorification of military power, strength, and wealth.

I see troubling parallels when Trump glorifies his own name, American greatness, wealth, and military might. Christians should test these things against Scripture rather than placing their trust in political power.

“Put not your trust in princes.” - Psalm 146:3 KJV

Our hope is not Trump, America, wealth, or military power. Our hope is Jesus Christ alone.

Put Your Trust in God, Not Earthly Power
Psalm 146:3 (KJV): “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”
Images of nations, borders, power, and greatness should remind Christians that no earthly ruler or kingdom is eternal. Scripture repeatedly warns against pride, conquest, oppression, and putting our confidence in human power.
Jesus did not call His followers to worship political power. He called us to follow Him, love our neighbors, care for the vulnerable, and proclaim the Gospel.
Political kingdoms will rise and fall, but Jesus Christ remains King.
Do not put your hope in princes. Put your hope in Jesus Christ. Only Jesus saves.

Trump himself posted imagery portraying himself surrounded by massive war machines, accompanied by the words “GIVE THEM NIGHTMARES” and “THEY WILL DREAM OF US FOREVER.” These posts were reported on September 6, 2026, and an archive of Trump’s Truth Social posts records the “GIVE THEM NIGHTMARES” image.

I believe this imagery should cause Christians to stop and examine the biblical warnings about boastful rulers, wickedness, pride, power, deception, and the Antichrist. I believe Donald Trump is the Antichrist described in the Bible. I recognize that this is my interpretation of biblical prophecy, not a verse that explicitly names him.
Micah 2:1 warns, “Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds!” Psalm 36:4 says, “He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.” These Scriptures warn us about wickedness and people who deliberately devise evil.
But whether my interpretation is right or wrong, Christians must never put their trust in a political ruler. Our ultimate hope is not in Donald Trump, America, or any political movement. **Our hope is in Jesus Christ. Only Jesus is Lord. Only Jesus saves.**
