Any tips, UK moth-ers? All your Clifden Nonpareil photos make it seem so easy!
Two nice 'new for the year' autumn species found on blackberries last night at Long Melford in Suffolk: SALLOW and PINK-BARRED SALLOW. Also the first Brick for the year and Vestal and Small Mottled Willow to the moth trap.

Regular here in small numbers but considered uncommon in Glamorgan.
Dryobotodes eremita (etymology in the post below)

The standout moth of the night was this Gem, my first of the year, and surprisingly the first since October 2024.
Scarce Silver-lines - more typical for June-August and possibly from a facultative second brood in this hot year
Bena bicolorana
