Musotima nitidalis new for site from @btobirds.bsky.social Nunnery Lakes in Thetford this week, while unsuccessfully looking for Blair's Wainscot one evening. Plenty of Large WC including several ovipositing females. #mothsmatter

Lydd on Sea VC15, another chilly night by the sea, led to 46 of 16sp.
The standout moth of the night was this Porter’s Rustic, the first good moth for sometime.

Hardly surprising, given on and off rain all night and strong gusty wind, only 37 moths last night of 18 species, with new for the year a Beaded Chestnut, Brick, Brindled Flat-Body and Oak Rustic.

Turns out the 2 Yellow-line Quakers in the traps last night, were New for Garden, upon checking back I’d only trapped them before in the Lake District when on holiday in Sept 23.

With heavy rain in mid Cheshire early in the evening and more forecast for the early hours I nearly didn't put the trap out. Glad I did, my first November Moth along with five Black Rustic, a Merveille du Jour, a Turnip & a couple of Shuttle-shaped Darts. #teammoth #mothsmatter
