‼️This OSINT-based interactive database of "hybrid war signals" from Latvia should be much better known!
🤣 Look at the vessel. I t is a russian Kara-Class and a Kaschin-Class. Probaly scraped.
We're currently mapping "European" crewing companies, linked to shadow-fleet vessels. A big part of the work is decoding deliberately vague job ads. We're looking for a few outside / expert views to sense-check some leads. DM if interested 🙃
The #WhiteCondorI has finally found a new home.
Assume it will soon fly again.
Most vessel put EGPSD (Port Said) and proceed further to India. On the other way: baltc for order is quite common.

Wow, your website is brilliant. I’d already been looking for information on how long it takes for the MMSI to be updated after a change of flag. Very helpful! Thanks
The tanker in gCaptain's Arctic STS story last week, MIRABEL (IMO 9511521), switched her AIS back on Friday south of Nakhodka. For about six hours her reported position kept snapping to one spot in Ussuri Bay, 60 km from where she actually was, while she steamed east at 10 knots.

Sweden has taken action against unflagged vessels passing through Swedish territorial waters. Without having inspected the vessel, I do not assume it to be unflagged. I reckon the Vikings will strike when the right ship is in territorial waters.
There is a reason why Sweden has boarded ships whose flagging was clearly incorrect – that is, ships flying no flag. It is laid down in Swedish law.
That’s right, but international maritime law must also be observed in territorial waters. A ship flying a flag has the right of innocent passage, Article 17 UNCLOS. No flag --> the nation state can take a wide range of measures. Russian flag --> in peacetime ok!
In fact, any tanker taking route ‘T’ (inbound direction GOF) must pass through German territorial waters in the TSS North of Rügen.
And as most of you here will no doubt have noticed, a great many tankers are switching to the Russian flag. Incidentally, almost all the tankers switching to the Russian flag are already subject to sanctions. The Russian tankers are, of course...
