ANASTASIIA, IMO: 9349291 Grounds for guns: Ukraine sanctions, owner company, very similar ship to other known gunrunners, historical ports (Indian, West-African, Russian ports, all known for weapons exports).
A sanctioned Russian gunrunner cargo ship made a U-turn into Sweden last hours and has now resumed normal course. Her last trip is with a 20 day AIS-hole in Med (stopped Novosibirsk?) Guess: side-mission to probe NATO attention. Owned by state company MG Flot, Russian-flagged.
🚨 #OSINT Alert: Anomalous maneuver in the #BalticSea. The Russian-flagged general cargo ship ANASTASIIA (IMO 9349291) has executed a sudden U-turn south of Sweden. Notably, the vessel is currently operating under US (OFAC) sanctions. 🧵 1/4
hehe, true!
Russian TV has released Russian Navy shots of the incident where they fired flares against a Danish Air Force helicopter a few weeks back. What I find most interesting is how operations are described by the TV report. Russia is doing combat missions.
Thanks.
suiting name choice =)
No idea, have not kept track of the area for some time but from replay it looks like AIS-mayhem, spoofing galore.
Nopes, way too far ahead. Believe just normal patrol. Which, on the other hand, is news.
Imho opinion, no.
Thank you! Would you tag me if you see any more news?
One would be excused for intially being a bit suspicious with that item. Night or day.
Fast forwarded, not a single boom, dramaturgy too German. 2 rotors of 5. Thanks!
🛢️ “A large-scale pollution of an unknown oil product has been discovered on the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. Black sticky lumps have been washed ashore along a nearly 50-kilometer stretch — from Rowy in the Pomeranian Voivodeship to Rusinowo in West Pomerania.”

Sea lanes open again, object preliminary identified as an old ships part.
The reason for my check
Yes! This is the reason I checked.
Last hours ship traffic of Helsinki looks preliminary unremarkable. SPARTA II could be involved in something given sister ship histories, but is also on a normal route so low likelihood. Context: something going in shipping lanes south Helsinki. Caveat: not usually FI-spotter
