I wasn't active most of the month (or the past, like, four), but I'm slowly returning!
Next month will be a big one. Two book anniversaries and one new release! I never intended to be a Halloween writer, but the life seems to have chosen me.

It's pretty fun for a few hours, but doesn't have enough new to discover after the first playthrough (at least yet). Plus it has a number of irksome bugs/wrong card text.

I'm SUPER introverted, and most of my characters end up so, too. I need to make a conscious effort to write extroverted characters because otherwise I don't notice. My brain struggles to even realize it's possible.

I generally try not to so I can at least say I've done it/understand something I've seen referenced before, but ultimately life's too short to force yourself to do things you don't want. Society already makes you do enough of that.
@fizzy1.bsky.social80. The Blob It's decent. I wish I liked it more than I did. There is a lot to appreciate here and special effects that are interesting for the time. But I thought the pacing was just horrible, and none of the characters did much for me.
@fizzy1.bsky.social79. The House in the Cerulean Sea It has themes I appreciate, but they're super surface level. The characters are thin and randomly change personality to suit what the scene needs. MC is insufferable. A lot of cringe/corny dialogue the author clearly thought were gotcha sick burn mic drop moments.
