@meghan0n.bsky.socialWhat an incredible weekend at Fantasycon! Thanks to everyone who came to the Haverin launch or my panels 🩷 and huge love to everyone I chatted to, even if it was a flyby hello at the bar. Special thanks to the @gsfwc.bsky.social gang, for being such a wonderful and welcoming group of writers 🧡
@remotecore.bsky.socialReposted by @meghan0n.bsky.socialWe will have limited copies of Haverin at Fantasycon for the last day. We will be at Pictcon, where copies will be available. And there is still the night in Sauchiehall St Waterstones 21st October if you want to get a copy and catch a load of authors.
@meghan0n.bsky.socialToday's the third and final day of Fantasycon! I have no panels today, so I'm free to catch up on everything - and everyone - that I've missed this weekend! 🩷
@gsfwc.bsky.socialReposted by @meghan0n.bsky.socialMassive congratulations to our Christopher Caldwell on winning Best Collection for Call and Response, and to Jenni Coutts on winning Best Artist (a great way to mark her stepping down from BFS Horizons as art editor)!

@meghan0n.bsky.socialTime for the British Fantasy Awards!
@meghan0n.bsky.socialI'm looking forward to Day 2 of Fantasycon! Today's panels are: 1-2pm - The Art of Reviewing 3-4pm - Authentic Scottish Representation in SFFH Hope to see folks there 🧡
@meghan0n.bsky.socialIt was amazing 🩷 and I didn't even forget how to write my own name, which was a totally reasonable and plausible worry I had beforehand 😭
@meghan0n.bsky.socialBook Launched! That was an incredible first launch experience ⭐️📚 thanks so much to @munchkinstein.bsky.social, @remotecore.bsky.social and @hexthervvv.bsky.social for editing Haverin 🧡 and thanks to all the lovely GSFWC members for writing such wonderful stories!
@meghan0n.bsky.socialI agree completely! I've had some of my best roleplaying moments from parties emerging from every spectacularly failing. But if that would mean critical stuff is missed, don't take the risk!
@meghan0n.bsky.socialFond memories of making my cousin cry to this one
@meghan0n.bsky.socialThis should be fun, because the Dredge crossover was utterly terrifying and I bet this will be too
@meghan0n.bsky.socialIt's time for Fantasycon, which I'm stoked to attend for the 1st time today! Very excited for the launch of Haverin, the GSFWC's 40th Anniversary Anthology 📚 I have a story in this (my first in print!) and I cannot wait for everyone to see the rest, 'cause there are some stellar names involved 🧡

@meghan0n.bsky.socialD&D tonight... props if you know which campaign (easy) ⚔
@meghan0n.bsky.socialReposted by @meghan0n.bsky.socialMy latest review for Shoreline of Infinity looks at Fold Catastrophes, a devastating short story collection by Peter Watts. In many ways it's a coldly optimistic book, but I loved it!
@meghan0n.bsky.social1) horrific, I hate it 2) you're right, we SHOULD give Beowulf a gun
@emfaulds.comReposted by @meghan0n.bsky.socialSadly, my launch for These Broken Little Worlds at Fantasycon has had to be cancelled. If you were hoping to grab a copy, or get one signed, I will bring a couple with me and I'm doing a reading Sunday. You can always get a copy from the publisher or online.

@meghan0n.bsky.socialOh enjoy! I'm desperate to see it, hope it's as amazing in person as it looks!
