One more #fantasycon panel before I properly dig into my dinner: a magic system too far - which ended up creating a silly magic system fuelled by different kinds of alcohol.

Yesterday @gsfwc.bsky.social launched our 40th anniversary 'Haverin' at @britfantasysoc.bsky.social #Fantasycon It's the first actual book I've been published in and I'm wild proud about it. There's also 42 other stories from 42 other awesome authors covering the range of speculative fiction.

The #Fantasycon panel about pitching was really interesting. A good, pithy pitch goes a long way. Like 'Samurai Game of Thrones', or 'Pride and Predjudice and Zombies'.
