I had the most amazing time at #Fantasycon. I promised myself Iād take more photos this year, but immediately broke that promise because I was having too much fun.
If anyone has any of my panels, please do share and tag me!
Had an epic time at @britfantasysoc.bsky.social #fantasycon2026. Massive thanks to Shona, David and the team for a brilliant event, and cheers to everyone who stopped to chat, you were all absolutely lovely to spend time with.
Was proud as punch to launch Collective: The Art Of The Anthology and Haverin, the @gsfwc.bsky.social 40th anniversary treasury. It's such a privilege to be published by and with such a amazing creative cadres.
What an incredible weekend at Fantasycon! Thanks to everyone who came to the Haverin launch or my panels š©· and huge love to everyone I chatted to, even if it was a flyby hello at the bar. Special thanks to the @gsfwc.bsky.social gang, for being such a wonderful and welcoming group of writers š§”
I am returned home from Fantasycon, having decided it wiser to actually line my stomach with food tonight rather than continue subsisting largely on Guinness. All caught up with peeps I haven't seen for years and finally managed to catch folk I was hoping to speak to. My poor guts need a rest now.
At @clhellisen.com and @annabelcwrites.bsky.social book launch! Main room...
Reading from this 1pm in Malin Fantasycon
The full Fantasycon Glasgow SF writing circle experience.
Massive congratulations to our Christopher Caldwell on winning Best Collection for Call and Response, and to Jenni Coutts on winning Best Artist (a great way to mark her stepping down from BFS Horizons as art editor)!

Hello! Not at #Fantasycon today because October is Octobering hard and I have a book to finish.
But! That makes this a good time to thank Shona Kinsella and the rest of the organizers and volunteers for giving us such a fab weekend. And under an hour from my bed? Magic!

Today's the third and final day of Fantasycon! I have no panels today, so I'm free to catch up on everything - and everyone - that I've missed this weekend! š©·
You can stop a very tired me in the hotel to buy one today. I cannot promise I'll say anything coherent while you do, mind.
Call and Response was š„š„š„ Highly recommend
Oh oh oh! And congrats to alumna Amal El Mohtar on Best Novella! What a bunch of lucky ducks!
NGL I have genuinely struggled this year with the number of great people doing genuinely amazing work across different categories of the BFS Awards. I would have had such an issue being on one of the juries. So thank you to those folks too! @britfantasysoc.bsky.social
And huge congratulations to all the longlisted and shortlisted folks. What a wonderful reading/watching/listening list you've given us!
Congrats also to alumna Annabel Campbell (Best Newcomer) and friend of the Circle C.L.Hellisen (Best Audio Fiction, Best Short Story)!
Massive congratulations to our Christopher Caldwell on winning Best Collection for Call and Response, and to Jenni Coutts on winning Best Artist (a great way to mark her stepping down from BFS Horizons as art editor)!
