4 Black Rustics amongst 3 Underwings
#VC55moths #teammoth
Despite the drop in temperature last night, I ran the lamp, rewarded with this smart Green Brindled Crescent, which is NFG. Market Harborough #vc55moths #teamoth any help appreciated with picture 3 though
Highlights from last night, Clancy’s Rustic, Pale mottled Willow, Box tree moth (7), and least Carpet #vc55moths #teammoth
Barred Sallow from last night and Blair’s Shoulder Knot and another Black Rustic.

Better laid out photos if this mornings Large Rananculus and Clancy’s Rustic #vc55moths #teammoth
Still turning up a few good moths despite it being cooler last night, Large Rananculus, and finally Clancy’s Rustic #teammoth #vc55moths
2 fresh Dewick's Plusias amongst the Lunar Underwings in a chilly Harby, Leics last night (25/9) #vc55moths #teammoth
A 'quieter' night in Harby, Leics (24/9) with just the 4 Clancy's Rustics, 3 Vestals and 3 Deep-brown Darts. Such a weird season... #vc55moths #teammoth
A cracking Black Rustic was the best of the rest this morning #teammoth #VC55moths
This morning I was quite satisfied with my first Merveille du Jour of the year, but then I realised a 'pearl' was not one of thevusual ones, having a terminal white bar: Loxostege sticticalis (Mugwort Pearl) which has very few county records, maybe just four in Septemver 2022 #teammoth #VC55Moths
Sweet, another NFG here in Whetstone Leics. Clancy's Rustic also new to me completely, albeit one I was expecting. I wasn't expecting Deep-brown Dart, the first here since 2000. Orange Sallow always nice to see, and a cracker amongst x6 Vestals. #teammoth #vc55moths
Feels faintly ridiculous to say that Delicate, new to my Whetstone Leics. garden trap last night, was actually an overdue and expected arrival. It is almost certainly resident here in Leics. now, like so many other recent colonists. #vc55moths #teammoth
Cousin It.
Sorry, Ruby Tiger, Phragmatobia fuliginosa.

The only non-brown in my trap of 73/15 this morning, an exquisite Scarce Silver-lines #teammoth #VC55Moths
Two stand out moths this morning, nice Scare silver lines, and this Clifden Nonpareil. Market Harborough #vc55moths #teammoth #ukmoths
Not very green, but this looks like just my 2nd ever Brindled Green. In the company of the first Black Rustic of the autumn and my 2nd Vestal of the year. #teammoth #VC55Moths
Underwing city in the trap this morning.
Lunar,Lesser,Large and Broad-bordered.

Some of the nicer autumn moths are starting to turn up now amongst the sea of late summer brown: Autumnal Rustic and Orange Sallow both NFG, and Brown-spot Pinion NFY. OK, the latter is still brown, but it's not a yellow underwing or a Square-spot Rustic! #VC55Moths #TeamMoth
Just went to release last night's moths and found this knackered Bordered Straw sp hiding behind the MV trap. ObsID was split c50/50, but I think it's Scarce. Either would be NFY. Not a lot else of interest apart from a Vestal and the first Black Rustics of the year. #VC55Moths #TeamMoth
Clancy's Rustic, Harby, Leics, 12-9-26, new for tetrad. Also 6 Small Mottled Willow, 6 Scrobipalpa ocellatella, 4 White-point, 3 Vestal, 2 European Corn-borer, 1 Clifden Nonpareil, 1 Delicate and 1 Loxostege sticticalis. #vc55moths #teammoth #MigrantMothUK
