Obviously building games without tutorials to escape #TutorialHell is a massive massive step for me, even if the games are basic. But I prefer making notes from tutorials and then trying to remake the games. Some tutorials out there leave a lot to be desired too #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev #Godot

Decided to revisit the first #Godot #GodotEngine tutorial course I ever completed. My understanding has increased massively since undertaking specific tutorials and making notes to escape #TutorialHell Feeling more enthusiastic for #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev since my heart really lies in 3D

Third game of #20GamesChallenge is Frogger. Yes I’ve made this before, but to escape #TutorialHell we use our trusty notebooks and try to optimise things a bit. Player character is fully animated, have used onready variables and world boundaries #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev #Godot #GodotEngine

#Godot #GodotEngine tutorial completed for this Frogger clone, I will soon recreate it using only these notes as I escape #TutorialHell by utilising the #20GamesChallenge #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev

Figured out what the problem was with my Frogger game and sorted it! Back on #20GamesChallenge to escape #TutorialHell on my #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev journey. This will be complete soon, I disagree with the instructor for some of the methods (I prefer separate scenes for all objects) #Godot
