I hate single use plastics, but when I have it, I try to extend its use. It is very durable and easy to wrap herbs in for drying. Is it cute? No. But I have used this garlic net for months to dry lemon balm, verbena, chamomile and meadowsweet for my teas.

I managed to save a supermarket basil almost half a year ago and today I noticed it bears a single tiny flower. The flower apparently makes the leaves bitter as the plant focuses on its next phase, but I am tempted to leave it be to see if it reseeds.

Perhaps fallen leaves aren't rubbish at all.

I went out to tidy the “neglected” garden and discovered hundreds of gentle ivy bees living there. Apparently, it wasn’t untidy—it was busy 🐝
