Fewer moths today but still a super selection. A rather different looking Vestal, a fresh-as Small Mottled Willow, a mobile Scarce-bordered Straw, a surprise Nephopterix angustella (Spindle Knot-horn) + a Buff Footman (late, but not that late).

A few more of yesterday's star of the show, an NFG Deep-brown Dart. The 1st photographed TG04 record, this is a scarce, localised moth in Norfolk - with a distinct cluster of records in the west - although 2026 has seen many recorded countywide.

The rain not yet arrived on Blakeney Point, so a better than expected 313:23 in the moth trap this morning. Star moth (of course) was NFY Merveille du Jour. The supporting cast included Pearly Underwing, Deep-brown Dart, and unexpected by-catch in Green Shore Crab. #NorfolkMoths #TeamMoth

@johngolding.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 8:36 PM

@norfolkmoths.bsky.social NFG: yellow line quaker. NFY: barred sallow, brindled green. Looking smart: green brindled crescent, vestal. #teammoth #norfolkmoths

@norfolkmoths.bsky.social The angle shades decided to have a quick look before stepping out on to the leaf. A ‘common species’ but NFY and first for three. #teammoth #norfolkmoths
