Bounty from our garden. Currently baking a fig-and-plum pie and the cherry tomatoes will make an excellent salad later 😊.

Cooked tomato tumeric rice pilaf for dinner. I thought I would like rice pilaf, I’m sure I had to have ate it before, but this was not it for me. I will try to give the leftovers to my sister. #chemistswhocook
Possible IT band flare up Saturday afternoon 😩 left me hobbling around the house with no #longrun this weekend. Didn’t do much today except rest, read, and bake. #halfmarathontraining #chemistswhocook
I…seem to have overcooked that last pancake flip #chemistswhocook
Sometimes, you need something good fast. This came together in less than 15 minutes: Tortellini with a bell pepper-cream sauce and parmegiano and a nice greek salad.
Dinners from the past 3 days. Eggplant parmigiana, chicken pita souvlaki, salmon to rice bowl (maple, dikon, garlic, smoked paprika glaze). Bonus, used new air fryer to make Korean fried chicken w/ citrus dipping sauce. #chemistswhocook.
Made a huge batch of penne al forno with egg plant, cherry tomatoes, and fresh bell pepper from the garden 🤤.

Portuguese comfort food kind of day. 🇵🇹🤍
Lagartinhos with migas de broa — Iberian pork strips with Portuguese cornbread, greens and beans.
What to make on a full moon. Well, I used up old rice and made some shrimp fried rice with Chinese sausage, carrots and peas. #chemistswhocook.
A nice risotto with some roasted peppers. #chemistswhocook
Yesterday was a 5 burner affair to make sautéed cabbage, chicken schnitzel, pasta and zesty tomato sauce and broccoli. Today for my daughter’s birthday, I made a smoked salmon tart and crostini w/ confit garlic mascarpone and sautéed mushrooms. #chemistswhocook.
After years trying to get my bread baking skills right, I finally caved and bought a dutch oven. WHY DID I NOT do this 5 years ago??
I am finally there, and crying.
I had leftover caramelized onions that were going to go into a quiche last night, but after grating the cheese and cutting the tomatoes, I realized there was no room for custard. So it became a tart! #ChemistsWhoCook
Salt and pepper tofu and a Thai salad with crispy pork belly. Serves with rice. Dessert is apple crisp. #chemistswhocook.
A roast chicken dinner, served w/ roasted carrots, potatoes and shallots, sautéed mushrooms, tenderstem broccoli and a pan sauce. Dessert was a German apple cake to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. #chemistswhocook.
A chicken rice of sorts. The rice is treated like Hainanese chicken rice and this was served with a Japanese chicken thigh, coated in potato starch and fried and served with a lemony scallion condiment. Also stir fried bok choi. #chemistswhocook.
Lemon, pea, and marcarbone risotto with a seared salmon filet. #chemistswhocook
I’m happy to report that version 1.0 of both tarts were a hit and there were no survivors (leftovers). #ChemistsWhoCook
Request from my son. Beef bulgogi served with quick pickled cucumbers, stir fried sugar snap peas, bean sprouts with garlic,
Broccoli, all with rice. Dessert was a lemon Victoria sponge cake with mascarpone icing. #chemistswhocook.
