For the Deity I'm dedicated to, I anoint a ceramic statue I have with water I have blessed. For other Deities that I work with less frequently, I offer my devotional cordial. For the mountains, I offer water or an offering blend of seedless herbs I've grown. #WitchSky #Folkwitchfriday

I sing to the land and the Directions and the rivers every morning as an offering. I offer grain and tobacco to the land I live on and I bring beer to the Mayor of the Local yard and coffee to the solider of the same yard once a month. I even had an icon made to the land spirit.

Offerings take many shapes: milk and honey left for The Gentry, coffee and spirits for the Land's Guardians, and tending Pellory deities of Celtic root. For the Swamp, my devotion is creative - sharing its raw folklore as living reciprocity.

In folk magic, 'deity' is often less about rigid dogma and more about relationship.

Whether you leave offerings for the Old Ones, folk saints, or the spirit of a local mountain or river - how do you honor your allies?

🦉🥚🦉An old folk-medicine cure for failing eyesight was to eat an owl's egg, a bird famed for its keen vision.
