Is that what you want here? In this case, this sentence really needs it to reduce confusion: "She shared the news, her breakfast and coffee with her guests."

Do you have any questions regarding this topic? If so, I'd love to hear it! See you next week.

Everyone remembers Gwen Stacy's death in The Amazing Spider-Man #121, but in The Amazing Spider-Man #144 she 'returned', in a Gerry Conway written tale. With a cover by Gil Kane and John Romita, and the last panel reveal by Ross Andru, Frank Giacoia and Dave Hunt.

Rhode Island's Mercy Brown died of tuberculosis in 1892. When her body was exhumed, relatives interpreted its preservation as evidence she was harming her sick brother. Her heart and liver were burned, and the ashes were reportedly used in a remedy for him. #WyrdWednesday

The modern movie zombie owes an enormous debt to George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead from 1968. Curiously, the film itself generally calls its creatures "ghouls," not zombies. Audiences supplied the name that would redefine the monster. #WyrdWednesday

"How fares my child, how fares my roe?
This time I come, then never more."

Then the King could not restrain himself; he sprang towards her, and said, "You can be none other than my dear wife."

#WyrdWednesday The idea that people with tuberculosis could be cured by eating the heart/ashes of a "vampire" who had died of the disease was found in New England. Here is a rare, late example of this remedy for "The White Death" from Pennsylvania.

In New England's 18th- and 19th-century vampire panics, families sometimes exhumed relatives after tuberculosis struck a household. A corpse showing unexpectedly little decomposition might be blamed for draining life from surviving family members. #WyrdWednesday

At Samhain it is believed that the dead return home, coming to seek hospitality and see how the living have gotten on. This leads to happy reunions at times, while in other cases, the disappointed dead bring the fright we associate with Halloween today. #WyrdWednesday

In the American South, birds are connected to angels. Many believe feathers found on the ground are signs angels have visited. The dead return as angels, and when a cardinal visits you, it is the spirit of the dead coming to visit you. #WyrdWednesday

Even gods can return from the dead: murdered and then cut into pieces by his brother Set, Osiris was reconstructed by his wife Isis, and then left his son Anubis to the Duat, to become King of the Dead while his other son, Horus, fought for kingship of the Living. #WyrdWednesday
