Going with Atlantic Birding's alt theme of #Borbs today. #BirdOfTheDay is this plump little #wren who had built a nest in an unused dryer vent. The ladder stored against the wall provided some security from predators.

This red-morph eastern screech owl rests in the hollow of a tree. Incredibly, this little guy was chilling within yards of a school playground, and was skillfully ignoring all the noise.
