This remarkable spiral staircase was between tall shelves of books in The Old Library at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

This is a dark image because of the light through the window at back; the light silhouettes a wrought-iron spiral staircase with decorative filigrees in the risers. This is a small, 4-branched stick that fell out of a huge tree. It’s about 5 centimeters long, and features a few pops of bright yellow sunburst lichen (maybe some different types), several bits of pale sea-green hairy rosette lichen, some oakmoss lichen, and maybe some type of cartilage lichen - also varying shades of sea green. The blurry background is a mottled blur of autumn colors like brown, yellow, orange and green.

This is the Information Desk at the Hyattsville [MD, USA] branch library. It amuses me that the children's area has a giant apple tree, perhaps symbolizing the forbidden fruits knowledge in the books.

In a library, we can just see the curved fron of the "Information/Informacion" desk at left, with a woman in white trousers and B&W shirt standing in front of it. To the right is a low bookshelf.
