Reposting this from many months ago for those who may not have seen it. Low angle montage from a trail camera at booping height! I apologize if you've already seen it, but there are worse reruns.

Maizey in mushrooms đŸ„°
(10.7.2026)
Recent #weather has been ideal for mushrooms & they're popping up all over our yard. Haven't seen any of our resident wild bunnies eat them, but the native Douglas squirrels love em!

2-month-old brown eastern cottontail resting behind a mossy log surrounded by green berry vines and white mushrooms. Maizey is a fun and friendly bun! She looks pretty serious here tho. A rare moment when she was actually still. Photo taken Wednesday 10.7.2026. You can see her in action in the YT video in comments.

Fog starting to disperse from the Emmons Glacier on Mount #Rainier (Tahoma), revealing crevasses.

A monochrome black and white image of the surface of a heavily-crevassed glacier, swirling fog lifting from the surface to reveal the detail.

Today's #BlueskyArtShow theme is #weather.
"The Oregon coast is usually up for showing off her rocky slopes. Even without thunderous rain, the churning waters will kick up crashing waves, letting you know who is boss." mick

The image shows large ocean waves crashing against rocky basalt cliffs and a blowhole on the Oregon Coast, around areas like Cape Perpetua, Depoe Bay, and Devil's Churn near Yachats, Oregon.
‱ Basalt Rock Formations: Dark, jagged volcanic rock typical of the Pacific Northwest shoreline.
‱ Wave Action & Spray: High-energy whitecaps and powerful water plumes erupting through coastal crevices or blowholes.
‱ Overcast Conditions: Gray skies and turbulent sea conditions characteristic of winter storms or king tide events along the Oregon coast.

The #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Waders, so here is a green heron... wading! #birds #birdphotography #Oregon #pnw

A small heron with long rusty brown neck, white and rust striped breast, gray-green tail and wings, yellow eye, and dark grey crest wades in tan and light green water, with wet muddy bank behind. The heron faces a bit to the right and has one leg in front of the other as it takes a step.

This magnificent BOT lives down by the creek out back. Pseudotsuga menziesii, I think, but I'm pretty terrible with trees 😅

Low-angle view looking up the massive trunk of an old-growth conifer. The bark is deeply furrowed and gray-brown, with thick moss clinging to the lower trunk and many branches. Lichen drapes from the upper limbs like curtains. Surrounding foliage includes broadleaf green plants and ferns in the understory, with dappled light filtering through the dense canopy above.

It bums me out that #BMFS only gets to #PNW every so often and is forced to play in Everett because Seattle proper doesn’t have a 10k venue. We jump from 7k to 17k. Don’t @ me with that boat show venue they call WAMU “theater”!

The historic Bell's View Water tower in Cape Disappointment State Park, WA. My son for scale.

A weathered wooden water tower standing tall amidst a dense forest of evergreen trees and ferns at Cape Disappointment in WA. The structure features a large, cylindrical wooden barrel-style tank at the top, supported by a high, open timber framework reinforced with cross-bracing beams. A long, narrow wooden ladder runs vertically up the center of the tower, providing access to the platform just beneath the water tank. At the base of the structure, a person (my son Sean) stands looking up.
The tower is a remnant from World War II-era military activity in the area.
