#FantasyIndiesSpooktober day 5 - Safiya would want to wear a Halloween costume that she could move in and that gave her the opportunity to carry her dagger. So probably a pirate!
For Arlise, bravery is being afraid and doing what needs to be done regardless.
Earc, by contrast, sees bravery as something loftier, larger than life. He doesn’t think it’s something he can be, and his views lead him to kinda idolize Arlise.
Day 4 of #FantasyIndiesSpooktober
Bravery is doing something even when it scares the shit out of you.

4
Bravery/courage is doing things you know will be difficult or unpleasant for you, and for the right reasons. It's being scared and doing it anyway, but not because you're pressured into it by your community or dumb little friends.
Day 4
I think that I define bravery the same way as Everett.
Bravery is the ability to do something despite fear, fear is healthy. It keeps you alive, being brave is being able to act when you are afraid.
But I think Brutus believes that bravery is the absence of fear.
Day 4 of #FantasyIndiesSpooktober (I did say I wasn't great at turning up to these!). Safiya doesn't think about bravery much: she's so focused on saving her sister that she doesn't always think things through, much less notice her own bravery. But she sees it in her sister, especially during grief.
#fantasyindiesspooktober Day 4 Bravery
Dani has had to be brave for a long time after the loss of her parents and her youngest sister getting sick. And even before that with vampires and werewolves taking control of the world. She would define bravery as doing what was needed in the face of fear.

(I love this question)
I define the purest bravery as doing the right thing even when others will judge you for it. But facing what you're afraid of to help others is also a very meaningful kind of bravery.
Lawcket feels more with the second.
Rider has a sense of - 1/3

I personally define bravery as not the lack of fear, but doing the right thing even if it scares you. No one is without fear. Only fools are fearless.
#FantasyIndiesSpooktober Day 4:
Notions of bravery differ from person to person. I can’t pinpoint what bravery is except that some altruism is involved.
Elysia doesn’t accept that she’s brave, but she is very willing to do the difficult thing, and some altruism is involved…
Veldi would define bravery the same way her father taught her and her siblings:
“Bravery isn’t the complete lack of fear. It’s being so afraid you want to run but still having the strength of will to continue forward, even knowing what may happen.”
#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 4. How do you/your MC define bravery?
Brae and I have the same definition for bravery, but hers would be more appropriate for Malicai to hear 😂
"bravery is doing the thing, even when it scares the ever-loving shit out of you"
For my first free Friday, let’s talk a little bit about one of the scariest things in my setting, radiation.
In Othera all Magic gives off radiation, or as it is more commonly called magical dread.
The different types of magic all manifest dread differently. 🧵
#FantasyIndiesSpooktober 2. Free Friday or spooky book/movie/tv show recs
My husband and I bonded over horror/scary movies, so I think now's the time to revisit some of our favorites: It, Carrie, Scream, Evil Dead, Se7en, The Shining... there's a lot more, but I'm too lazy to check his collection 😂
Day 4. How do you define bravery?
Being scared but doing it anyways.
