I can see where I am today, although with some heavy showers. I've been trimming things, hence the flowery bandana.

Lots of plants responding well to the end of heatwaves and drought: Salvia 'Nachtvlinder' in full bloom...

Good afternoon Bluesky Folks!

My second post includes a stunning photo of a Malva × clementii ‘Barnsley’mallow flower, taken with my Canon EOS R50.

🌱 #NaturePhotography #PhotographersOfBluesky #PlantSky #UkGardening #Bloomscrolling #Flower #CanonR50

A close-up photograph captures a soft pink flower—resembling a mallow or hibiscus—blooming in three-quarter view against a dark backdrop.
Flower Structure: Delicate, pale pink petals with subtle veining and ruffled edges flare outward from a vibrant magenta center. A pale, textured stamen cluster sits at the heart of the bloom.
Stem & Buds: The flower sits atop a fine-haired green stem lined with small pointed leaves and unopened green buds along the lower branch.
Lighting & Background: Natural lighting illuminates the translucent petals, contrasting sharply against a dark, heavily blurred background featuring soft blue and green bokeh.

Delighted to see my feature with garden designer Sara Edwards in this week’s Garden News magazine.
An interesting garden based mainly on foliage.

Happy Tuesday 🌞

A little burst of autumn magic.

There’s something incredibly special about Sedum.

These tiny pink blooms gather together like a living cloud. A gorgeous splash of colour to the garden when other flowers are fading.

Happy Gardening everyone 🇬🇧🌱

Where am I? I spent most of the day in drizzly clouds without much of a view.

Luckily, there were some lovely things to look at. More splendid pears. About ready to be picked.

Round courgettes, still happily growing...

Here’s another capture from Saturday. I found a beautiful marigold flower while walking around my neighbourhood and it was snapped on my Canon EOS R50!

Your podcaster has been on holiday in England.

Being a BBC #GQT fan, she attended a recording of the programme on 5 September.
And what's more ...
Ivonne was selected to ask the expert panel a #gardening question at the end of the show.

Goodnight Bluesky Folks!

My final post for Sunday showcases two beautiful pink Snapdragon flowers I spotted this morning. They’re captured on my Canon EOS R50!

🌱 #NaturePhotography #PhotographersOfBluesky #PlantSky #UkGardening #Bloomscrolling #Flower #CanonR50

Flowers: Two fully open blossoms display heavily layered, ruffled petals in a bright magenta-pink tone, softening into subtle cream-yellow hues deep within the throat.
Buds and Stems: A fresh stem with tightly closed, pale green buds sits directly below the lower bloom.
Foliage: Lance-shaped, dark green leaves create a muted backdrop that contrasts with the bright pink petals. A few small, dried brown tips from earlier growth are visible near the top and left side.
