My Chamaecereus luisramirezii plant got a few seedpods after flowering last year. I assume it crossed with a Chamaelobivia hybrid. I planted the seeds this spring and they've grown really fast for cactus seedlings. I wonder what the plants will look like? #Chamaecereus #cactus #plantsky #cacti

My Last Post for Saturday Features a beautiful picture of some scarlet firethorn (Pyracantha coccinea) berries that I Captured on my Canon EOS R50!

berries hang vertically in front of a rustic, weathered wooden background.  The small, spherical berries—characteristic of a firethorn (Pyracantha) shrub—are tightly packed along fine brown stems, each featuring a dark brown blossom mark at its center. Deep green leaves frame the fruit from behind, creating a strong color contrast against both the bright berries and the muted grey-brown wood grain.

#houseplants mix can be SO $$$ but I have cost-savers. I buy #cococore @ #petshops. It's the same as #plantshop stuff but lots cheaper. I also use #lumpcharcoal - not #horticulturalcharcoal. You just have to break it up. I then add all the other stuff in pic 3 to a basic medium. #plantdad #plantsky

A crocodile fern which had died off almost completely before a change of position and potting media snatched it from the jaws of death and is now regenerating quite nicely, with Louey, a grey and white domestic short-haired cat, curled up asleep in the background

Behold, the tiny testament to my impending hubris!

I bought a pair of tiny shattered glass alocasia corms when my corm survival rate is 25% (only gave it one go so far with 4 corms. Rough odds.). Good luck little guys. 🙏 I believe in you and the puddle method!
