In 1983 the largest catfish fossil in North America was found along the Ouachita River in Arkansas. Its skull alone is nearly 3 ft long; when alive, the fish would've been over 10 ft long and weighed 450 kg. All one needed for a meal was a ½-ton of hushpuppies & coleslaw. #paleontology #fossils
