We have a bounty of opportunity on our streets. These folks are ready to seize it.

Everyone deserves to feel safe getting home and walking our streets. So let’s implement policy that is proven to help us get there 💡

As someone who sometimes chooses to walk down the middle of the road instead of on unlit pavements at night, I’m ready to see policy that invests in lighting as a public safety priority. That’s why I’m so proud of OneCity’s ReLight Vancouver strategy.

Leaving lighting and infrastructure design out of the public safety conversation is a massive missed opportunity - and it’s not an opportunity OneCity is willing to pass on.

Cities around the world have shown that well-lit streets and bus shelters don’t just change how safe people feel – they actually make people safer 🧵

Road safety is public safety. Every year, the numbers speak for themselves. I'm proud of my work on Council to bring traffic fatalities and injuries to zero. We need political will to deliver results, and Ken Sim and ABC have shown us time and again that this isn't a priority for them.

My mom worked as a nurse here in Vancouver for 31 years & while it wasn’t always easy, she was able to raise my sister & me on her own and provide us a good life.

Her union made that possible.

special meeting to support their campaign on half a million of the tax payer’s dime but achieve no practical outcomes ✅ special meeting to support Vancouverites during a trade war ❌

Disappointing that Councillor Maloney’s request for a special meeting to discuss measures to support businesses + workers affected by increased tariffs was rejected by ABC. They’re more interested in campaigning on the premise they support small business than doing the work to support small business

I deeply appreciate the support of climate activist, author, and friend @sethdklein.bsky.social

I’ve long admired his activism and enjoyed working together to advocate to keep fossil fuels out of buildings in Vancouver.

I'm so proud of OneCity's Local Economic Action Plan to support Vancouver's small businesses, which create local jobs, contribute to a more vibrant and walkable city, and help build community connections. Small businesses put down roots in our neighbourhoods. City Hall should help them grow.
