More like Nick Bunto. Amiright?
New on the blog! It's not every day we publish the definitive account of one of the Hobby's true grails, but here it is, courtesy of new member Jonah Daiss. sabrbaseballcards.blog/2026/10/11/h...
Still, without looking it up, wouldn't you assume at least a 40% chance there's a guy named Cortland Brockport playing D1 college ball somewhere in America?
A well-done and very interesting post … of course, my favorite detail is the Braves scout mentioning that he’s en route to a college game between Cortland and Brockport. Guessing he didn’t find any Hall of Famers there.
This is one of these cards about which I presumed there would be almost no information out there. What a thrill to be so wrong!

“Guys Trading Baseball Cards?” monument, Monterey, CA.
We have been known to distribute some. 😊 We even offered an exclusive set of Dick Perez cards in conjunction with our screening of “The Diamond King.” And we’ve co-hosted two baseball card shows.
So do all chapter meetings come with baseball cards now? @sabrelysian.bsky.social @sabr-hp.bsky.social @sabrchicago.bsky.social

RIP Fred Claire, 1935-2026. Architect of the 1988 World Series champions, ambassador of Dodger Blue, and the epitome of a life well lived in service to others.
1940 Play Ball. The ‘Ol Perfessor. My favorite Casey card before he became a legend.

@sabrbbcards.bsky.social hi. I have a question for fellow collectors. What’s the plan for your collection? I feel at a crossroads. Not sure what to do..
What Your plan?:
- sell when you’re too old
- sell soon and spend the money
- leave it for the children
- sell to younger collector

#OTD in 1955, whatever the recollection of a certain Jeffrey Lebowski, the Bums most definitely did not lose!
Walt Weiss 1995 Pinnacle
I'm not entirely sure how you can bunt with that grip but I can't figure out what else he could be doing. His eyes and his body posture certainly make it look like he's waiting for a pitch.
Some incredible work from Eric White. www.sportscollectorsdaily.com/the-forgotte...
