Support Not Separation and the Disabled Mothers’ Rights Campaign worked with the BBC for 6 months to expose the awful reality of forced adoption, which frequently target children of Disabled mothers.

If the government were serious about supporting young Disabled people into work, they would properly fund the Access to Work scheme, which provides adjustments beyond what's expected of employers. Instead they're cutting Access to Work packages, forcing young Disabled people out of their jobs. (4/4)

Instead, we want to see structural changes in the employment market, including an increase in good quality flexible jobs and the enforcement of employers’ existing legal duty to make reasonable adjustments. (3/4)

The proposals we’ve heard from the government so far are all about pushing young Disabled people into a work environment that even Milburn acknowledges is challenging and inaccessible. (2/4)

There is no such thing as "too young to be Disabled."

Cuts to the Universal Credit health element for under 25s would only push young Disabled people who can't work further into poverty. (1/4) buff.ly/ctxOu6d

We are shocked and disappointed that the vision of a National Care Service does not include disabled people of working age, who make up one third of social care users and who are facing much harsher charges compared to older people.

Everyone should be able to access opportunities to build the future they want. If you're a young Disabled Londoner, or a parent or guardian, share your experiences of work and employment to help make sure Disabled voices are heard.

Trigger warning: The survey asks some questions that might be emotionally difficult, including asking you to tell us about the impact of not having enough money to live on. There is no obligation to complete the survey. You can stop completing the form at any time if it is too difficult for you.

We want to understand the impact that the the government's cuts to Universal Credit Health Element have had on Disabled people. Gathering this evidence will help to support our ongoing campaigning work.

You can help by completing our survey, available in BSL & Easy Read: buff.ly/ZuIHGbP

We cautiously welcome investment in jobs for young Disabled people, but: -Jobs must be accessible, appropriate + unforced -Government must stop cuts to Access to Work, stop disability + age discrimination and reduce workplace barriers so we can find, keep and progress in our jobs

Last week, organisations across London came together to work on our 'strategic communications' — using language and the media to make change feel possible and support the future we want to build. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and thank you to Inclusion Barnet for co-hosting with us!

15 people pose for a group photo, smiling, with a mixture of different ages. 1 person is a powerchair user and 2 use a manual wheelchair.A conference room with people gathered around different tables. Around 15 people are in shot. 2 people are wheelchair users and a screen at the front of the room shows captions for the discussion, which are too small to read in this image.
