Our pop-up lemonade stand continued making the rounds in Bucks County, Harrisburg, Scranton, and LeHigh Valley! PA families are feeling the squeeze of rising costs for gas, groceries, child care…everything! We're showing Reps. Bresnahan, Mackenzie, Perry, and Fitzpatrick: we have the receipts!
Rep. Mackenzie voted YES twice to put sweeping Medicaid cuts into law. Now families are paying the price.
Thousands of his constituents could lose Medicaid coverage. Local hospitals face growing financial pressure. And the cost of Pennie plans is skyrocketing.

4/ 4 Huge thanks to Assembly Majority Leader Aguiar-Curry who carried this legislation and never blinked! And thanks to our partners, advocates, small business owners, workers, and everyone who fought alongside us to get the COMPETE Act across the finish line.

3/ The wealthiest companies in California spent millions trying to stop this bill. The State Senate and Assembly saw through the lies. And today, so did the Governor.
2/ The law closes loopholes that let dominant corporations rig the market against small businesses, workers, and California families — cracking down on monopoly abuse and promoting fair competition for businesses of every size.
1/ 🚨 BREAKING: @governor.ca.gov just signed the COMPETE Act into law, concluding a multi-year campaign to update California's antitrust laws for the first time in more than a century. #COMPETEAct #AB1776

NJCA took to the streets in Clinton this week during our Affordability Week of Action and talked to residents about rising costs. Clinton is in CD7 and represented by Rep Tom Kean Jr. whose votes have made everyday costs like gas, groceries, healthcare & utilities more expensive. #ThePriceIsTooHigh
NJCA joined residents in CD2 outside Rep. Van Drew's office this week to hold him accountable for his votes, to rally against the federal cuts to vital programs, and for supporting the Trump administration's rampant corruption. #ThePriceIsTooHigh
(1/): 🍋 We brought the receipts to Langhorne.
On Friday, @patogetheraction.bsky.social joined partners and local residents outside Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick’s district office for our #PAFeelsTheSqueeze traveling lemonade stand.
We heard directly from residents about how rising costs are hitting home.
That's on top of Trump's Big, Ugly Bill that robbed over 5 million people of food assistance and millions of health care — all to give billionaires tax breaks.
We're continuing to sound the alarm on how Republican policies are causing sky-high prices and impacting our communities.
Families in Bucks & Montco are paying more for health care, thousands have dropped Pennie coverage, and Medicaid cuts threaten lives and local hospitals. Rep. Fitzpatrick helped the original H.R. 1 pass the House by a single vote before later voting against the final bill. (1/2)
Moms are on the ground in PA with our pop-up lemonade stand highlighting how 'moms are feeling the squeeze' when it comes to gas, groceries, health care, child care, and more. We're putting leaders like Brian Fitzpatrick and Scott Perry on notice: we have the receipts!
Last year, Republicans gutted funding for food aid and healthcare programs that working folks rely on, just to give rich donors a tax cut.
Now, millions of families are skipping the doctor and sending kids to school with empty stomachs.
It's time to hold the GOP accountable.

Big grocers shouldn’t get to block competitors and leave communities with fewer options for food. We’re fighting for AB 1857 and AB 1776 to change that. Our partners at California Food and Farming Network wrote about this @sfgate.com
@governor.ca.gov sign these bills.
Childcare now costs more than college in every state, and costs more than a mortgage in nearly every state.
Trump and Republicans campaigned on lowering costs for young families, but failed to do anything about their single biggest budget line item.
Rep. Rob Wittman promised to help families and lower costs. Instead, she cut taxes for billionaires and big corporations, shredded our social safety net, and raised the cost of healthcare, electricity, gas, food, and more.
Now, we’ve got the receipt to prove it.
Rep. Scott Perry voted NO on extending the ACA tax credits that made health care more affordable for working people, and voted yes TWICE on H.R.1 — including the final bill that slashed Medicaid funding.
Families are paying the price, and we have the receipts!

Gas. Groceries. Healthcare.
Trump and Congressional Republicans swore they'd cut costs, but since they took office, prices for all of these basic needs (and more!) have soared.
It's time to tell the GOP: talk is cheap. The cost of living isn't.
Republicans like Congressman Tom Barrett in Michigan promised to lower costs. Then they turned around and voted to take away health care and food assistance. Now patients are paying even more for health care, gas, and other basic necessities. #ThePriceIsHigh
