Happy Banned Books Week AND Anti-Prime Day! We've spent this week fighting with Amazon, who blocked Issue 3... because a stylized illustration of a statue = porn, at least if you're a queer publication. The best way to support us is directly. Code ANTIPRIME gets you 15% off subscriptions this week.

5. “The First Spider on the Moon” by @hvpatterson.bsky.social in @havenspec.bsky.social

A playful poem anchored in clever language & the strong relationship between the narrator and the spider. Cozy feel of a friendship story instead of an intense tale of outer space.

None of them are really! You can submit to our (somewhat vague) themes in any of the reading periods :)

Sorry, got distracted trying to fix an error in the code (the times were wrong, but I think I've fixed them?) In any case, the forms are active now!

We set prices to accomodate folks from all walks of life. The fact that we have a free-to-attend tier doesn't mean the event is at ALL free to put on, though, and even the $60 ticket is a steal considering all the content each year.

Donations are life for us!

A graphic with a teal background. The Flights of Foundry logo is prominent in the middle, with the word DONATE beneath. The text is surrounded by gryphons - Hoodini, a barn owl gryphon walks along the top of the logo; Toast, a white cockatiel gyrphon sits up straight on the right side of the logo; Bartholomew, a purple harpy eagle gryphon stretches on the bottom, and Swooperton, a bald eagle gryphon is swooping up in the bottom corner.

Most of the time I'm promoting someone else's writing, but this time it's MINE. :) It's cozy, mysterious, and the perfect mood for the turning of the seasons.
