The team presented GEORGE technologies and overall progress, including results from 2025 & 2026 demo missions, and connected with potential collaborators.

@george-project.bsky.socialπ LucΓa GutiΓ©rrez-Loza from #NORCE and @icos-ri.eu Ocean Thematic Centre presented the PAP mission as a test case for interoperable marine carbon observations. The mission combined observations from moorings, autonomous platforms and ships to test how different observing systems can work together.
@george-project.bsky.socialπ Clara Douglas from @euro-argo.eu presented results from a pH-equipped #Argo float deployed at PAP. The float profiled daily and spent more than a month circling an eddy, allowing the team to assess ocean carbon variability at finer temporal scales than the standard 10-day Argo cycle.

πThe training is open to all, but will serve especially technicians, engineers and scientists working with autonomous marine technologies.

The platform, executed as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), has been developed by @helsinki.fi, with materials produced collaboratively by the entire GEORGE consortium.

In GEORGE, @exeter.ac.uk and #OffshoreSensing integrated #CAPASOS into a #SailBuoy USV, which completed a 60-day, 1,000+ km mission to the PAP site.

@george-project.bsky.socialAt #ICOS2026SC, Laurent Coppola presented GEORGE work combining membrane-based COβ and acoustic wind sensors on a #SeaExplorer glider to estimate air-sea COβ fluxes while profiling the upper ocean.
Field trials at #DYFAMED and PAP in 2025 demonstrated the approachβs technical feasibility. π

Antony Lucio from @noc.ac.uk presented lab-on-chip (LOC) technologies. In GEORGE, NOC develops LOC sensors for autonomous DIC and TA measurements.
