Seven #Argofloats were successfully deployed in August 2026 during the biannual servicing of the #EllettArray project, led by the @noc.ac.uk & @samsocean.bsky.social. 👇

The float is part of the #ITINERIS project. It was deployed through the Institute of Polar Sciences of the CNR, with the support of the Institute of Marine Sciences #CNR-ISMAR.

This summer, the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) #ArgoItaly 🇮🇹 deployed its first Biogeochemical (BGC) Argo float in the Arctic, south of the Svalbard Islands.

💡 This milestone marks an important step for the CNR as it expands its BGC observations into the high-latitude Arctic environment.

A prototype coastal ARVOR-C & 2 BGC #Argofloats were deployed to extend autonomous obs of the Mediterranean & support GEORGE’s work on the ocean carbon system.
